A small but beautiful campground on a picturesque lake. Site was level. Fellow campers were friendly. Trees were plentiful, and we would absolutely visit again. There are only a handful of sites, but each has plenty of elbow room. Bring cash to deposit into the supplied envelope and plenty of groceries! The nearest town is 20 minutes away.

Drove in on a fall Saturday afternoon not expecting to find an available site and got super lucky! Our site was near the tip of one of the campground loops — which treated us to spectacular, birdseye views of Lake Greeson. The sites were clean, spacious and had plentiful shade. The showers and restrooms were immaculate, Kayaks, canoes and paddle boards were available to rent. Highly recommend as the beauty of this lake is super inviting.

This time of year (early October), RV sites and campgrounds are slim pickings. Many are closed or are closing soon for the season. Still, surprised at $62/night for the non-riverside sites — $80/night for riverside. Sites are extremely tight. If you’re sitting outside at the provided picnic table and fire ring, you’re only inches from your neighbor’s open window and sewer connection. The park is tidy and the office even offers fudge, but for the price, one might expect a bit more room to breathe and better WiFi. Tomorrow, we’ll drive into Durango to talk with USDA Forest service staff for San Juan Nat Forest. We hear there are plenty (mostly free), beautiful dry camping spots. Will report back.

Lovely campground tucked away at the edge of a neighborhood in a beautiful forrest. Relatively small park but a real treasure. The sites are mostly level, paved and well suited for multiple sized rvs. There’s a beautiful lake with the quintessential meandering walking path and a plethora of mountain biking trails for enthusiasts at every level of proficiency.
The gates close at 5, but we were able to call the number after hours and get a spot. Our guess is this place fills up fast in season. Since our visit was in December, there were plenty of neighbors but plenty of open sites.
Convenient to grocery stores, the highway, etc.

Popped in for a night passing through. The sites are super tidy with plentiful trees and lots of elbow room. The sites flanking the water have a lovely view of the bay. Didn’t see a bad spot in the park. Since we’re winterized, appreciate the cleanliness of the showers and restrooms. Unique location and a great treat; even if only for a night. Would absolutely stay here again.

First time at this state park — but longtime visitors to Destin, Seaside and the Emerald Coast! What a great surprise. Snagged two spots last minute (set up alerts on Florida’s state park website)… both had wonderful privacy, great shade trees and even a view of the lake/pond between the campsites and official beach. We rented beach-cruiser-style bikes from Pug Bike Rentals ($65/week) and would highly recommend. Yes they deliver and retrieve for free! The beach was about a mile walk from our site (paved road) door to door. Showers were clean, spacious and had great pressure. Staff was super friendly. Beach is glorious…
