Small beach on neighborhood lake, with easy parking. There is a small fee for non-residents. Swimming is frequently closed due to bacteria.
This is cute little area for small children, but there are nicer beaches in Crystal Lake.

Very decent hiking, unique geological formations, nearby camping. Some side trails not clearly marked, leading to dead-end. Park maps too large scale, see OSM maps for details.
Safe choice for the money: big, comfortable, very clean room, decent breakfast, all no smoking.
Worth coming just for the playground...
