This is a great choice for a picnic stop, especially if you're traveling with kids. Beautiful grounds, great trails and the place is teeming with wildlife...though the Canada geese are not so wild anymore. They boldly tried to share my 1 yr old's PB&J! The kids really enjoyed this place. In the 30-45 mins we spent here, we saw: aforementioned geese, turtles, a water snake, ducks, giant fish and a rabbit. Blindly choosing a picnic spot on a map can be hit or miss. You can put this one in the 'hit' column.
