Nice campground easy to find close to I70. It's an all gravel campground but the weeds have been sprayed so think owner carrys about the place. Next to corn field not sure that has anything to with the fries but really bed. Have a spot close to road but that's good close to grassy area good for walking my dogs. ALSO that's there the dragon is, the reason I had to camp here after seeing the name of the place.
More than a little hard to find, BUT lots of that should go on me. If I had read the email receite I was sent I don't believe I would have had so much trouble finding this place. But Owner was VERY helpful getting me to the campground. Really a big place and adding to it. Nice lake for fishing and small boats. Lots of area for walking my dogs, this was my 7th stop and the first with a fenced in dog run. The campground is very well taken care of and grass cut nicely. It's funny the things that are important to people, like cutting the grass.
Place easy to find with big sign on main road. Office is in the back but good signage to get you back to the office. Nice big spots with good room to back in but only 8 spots. Owner was really nice and helped me back in. Think all the spots are 50 amp but Owner had an adapter she let me use. Lots of room to walk my dogs. Never thought of it before but Ace's has a car / truck wash at there location. Was an extra cost but a really good idea. After 6 hours on the road front on truck was a mess.
Owner's meet me at entrance and took me to spot, nice touch. Big campground after you get back into it. Really nice stream the goes along campground. Dogs and myself enjoyed walking in. Saw kids walk clear across so not that deep when we were there.
Not easy to find, I had trouble, even with GPS. Think maybe because it's not on the road, GPS, keep using dots / dashes to get to campground. Couple more of those blue campground signs would be great. After all that it's worth finding. Good size spots with large trees for shade. Staff easy to work with even helped fix an electric problem I had that wasn't with them. All in all wish they were closer to home. Will schedule next trip so I can come back.
Very nice campground easy to get off interstate. Lots of area to walk my dogs around campground. Very clean shower and laundry building. Big trees on two sides adding to the privacy of the campground.
