A great museum and exhibit of FDR’s house. Got to see where he was when God called him home. Very touching. He was in very humble surroundings, by choice. Could not imagine our current president ever even coming close to this level of simplicity. Worth the visit.
Excellent look at a place that was owned by Franklin Delano Roosevelt and that became an important treatment place for polio victims. It is still an important health center for the disabled. Entrance fee here allows entrance to Roosevelt’s “Little White House”.
A great monument to Ray Charles. Well made references to the piano and music. Well maintained. Nice view over the river.
The last of 26 Carnegie libraries built in Georgia. Now a museum of Valdosta history which pretty much leaves out its black slavery history. In other words, a museum to the white folk of Valdosta.
