The Grand is my personal favorite hotel in Steamboat. Featuring tons of amazing, mountain-style rooms (wood decor, furnishings, etc), it makes you feel like you're in Colorado. People can also buy rooms like a time share and get special perks like ski storage, free parking, concierge, and more. Since The Grand is directly across from the mountain, convenience is second to none. You can walk out of your room and head right to the slopes. Then after a long day, hop into one of the two 40+ person hot tubs. Nice fitness center, great restaurants, underground parking. Awesome spot!

This is my favorite mountain in the country. My family had a house here for 7 years so we would get to ski at least a few times per year + visit in the summers. There's a reason that Steamboat is coined "Ski Town USA". The trails are always freshly groomed, so much space means less traffic, great terrain parks, and fast lifts. You can ski all day and not repeat a run. There's also great food spots all over for a quick break from your runs. Definitely make SS a spot on your ski bucket list!!

Neon's is one of the best bars in OTR. They make excellent drinks with generous amounts of liquor. They have a great outdoor patio with plenty of tables/chairs, fit pits in the winter, bocce ball, life-size jenga, and in the summer, feature the best BBQ around in Eli's for $5! You can bring your dogs and sit outside. Never a cover. Always a blast!

This place makes a mean burger!! No matter what you like on your burger, they have something to fit everyone. Their beef blend really presents a unique flavor I haven't seen elsewhere. My burger came on a pretzel bun, which instantly makes everything that much better. Not to mention I got their pretzel stick appetizer. I topped everything off with their homecut fries and was in heaven. I didn't have a milkshake or beer (as I already surpassed my caloric intake for the week), but they looked amazing.

Where do I begin, so many memories of running this beautiful trail. This became a staple of our high school soccer conditioning being located adjacent to our high school (Indian Hill). This is exactly what I picture a great trail run to look like with creeks, trees, flowers, and wildlife all around. There's a few entrances to the trail with a start being a Stephan Field (my usual spot).

I'm not personally a member of KCC, but have gone dozens of times as friends and family growing up were. The food is always superb with different specialties based on the day or occasion. Their golf course is extremely well maintained and challenging for any level golfer. Their pool is awesome as well with people covering all ages. If you're invited to go, definitely worth the visit. Otherwise without a member, will be impossible to get in.

Folchi's a great spot to rent a tux from. I've been going here from my days in HS Prom all the way until now for most weddings. Mark Folchi, the owner, is a super nice and knowledgable guy. I've never had a problem with any rental, sizing, or timing. In fact, one wedding some guys mixed up ties/bowties from their rentals and Folchi's was understanding enough to work through it with us and not charge anyone for the complexity. Would recommend without hesitation.

This place is weak. There are other far superior sushi places in Cincinnati and even the Kenwood area. Being attached to Kenwood Towne Center, you'd think lots of people would traffic this place but that isn't the case. Because they aren't serving tons of people, I worry about their sushi turnover and remaining fresh. They are always featuring "half-price" sushi which is really normal pricing because of how they start out. Avoid at all costs, even the occasional Groupon they offer.

Stone Creek is a great place to enjoy some seafood in Montgomery. The closest competitor serving seafood would be Red Lobster down the road and that doesn't compare. Their menu is robust and features many fine dining options beyond just seafood. I've eaten here a few times with friends and family and always enjoyed the experience. They don't have a happy hour considering the places surrounding them all offer one. Parking is available in the garage below (can be tricky on finding your way up). My last great experience was getting some draft beers and appetizers after work on a Friday - highly recommend!

Delicio is a new place in the heart of "downtown" Montgomery. With a plethora of pizza places, they differentiate themselves with unique specialities and a coal fired oven. The coal fire creates a great, smokey, and charred taste on the crust which compliments their varieties. The prices are a bit steep for the pizza size (only one option), but tons of toppings and quality ingredients.
