We stopped because, well it's monument Valley. But it was $20 to get in to see the view, we had to pay extra for a guided tour, we were unable to take our own vehicles. So really it was $20 for one view from the gift shop. I'm sure if you have the time and don't mind spending the extra money, it would be worth it, but unless your willing to do that, save your $20 and take pics from the road.

This is a must stop!! We watched the movie a few days before our travels here, and it was just awesome. Beautiful scenery!

Just wow! It is kind of in the middle of nowhere, but the scenery is beautiful! This is a great place to stay for a few days to venture out and see multiple surrounding parks, Indian ruins, 4 corners, we even did a self guided tour on Bluffs history and you can check out Edge of the Cedars State Park, pretty interesting. This place was super clean, we stayed on the lower level with a very nice patio, fire pit right outside, and hiking trial behind us. Dining was limited in Bluff because of Covid so we often ate at Cedar shack. Everyone that worked there was very nice! My family had a 6 day road trip and this was by far our favorite place to stay!

I was really disappointed with this hotel.
CONS: Our river front view that I paid extra for had no view of the river, just a view of the parking lot and the R.V. that was parked out front. It was also very upsetting that the people in the R.V. were not hotel paying guests, just parked, and the hotel would not ask them to leave. The rooms were not updated, in fact, they were pretty dirty and musty. Walking on the carpet with our socks were just as dirty as if we walked outside. We kept our door closed the whole time except to leave (there were some domestic issues near us, not the hotels fault I know) but our room had a lot of bugs. No bed bugs, just bugs on lamps, walls, shower, I must have killed a dozen bugs in our stay.

PROS: It is walking distance to main street, which was very nice to shop and eat. The pool area was also very nice. It was large, surprisingly very clean, and had clean restrooms. Pool only went to 4 1/2 ft, but it was still enjoyable. We were able to walk right down to the trail next to the river, and walking distance to a little beach right off the river to cool down.

I did not read a lot about this before our visit, so I didn't realize someone was living there!! He was coming home from the store and saw us outside taking pics. He was very kind. His dog was outside waiting for him and was also so sweet. This was a small detour out of our way, and so worth the stop. The local police happened to be right there and it seems they do get some visitors to this spot. They too were very nice!!

I was really looking forward to this stop but the directions on Road trippers led us to the middle of now where. We tried google maps and it took us to someone's house. Although we saw cattle just roaming the streets and my family shared some laughs, we never found this or saw any signs for it. Was very bummed.

This has turned into a really sketchy stop. Was looking forward to a tourist shop and a picnic with the kids, but all there is, is a sign right off the freeway and signs saying private property behind it with people living there. We did get out to stretch and eat a quick sandwich, there were people sitting in their cars, another car would come, some talking and they'd leave. This happened on a few occasions.
