Our first time at this campground. I made reservations online in advance. We were greeted at the entry gate and directed to our site. Got here on a Saturday. It was fairly busy over the weekend, but still quiet. The park is patrolled regular and often. Interactions I've had with rangers and other staff was pleasant. Several good hiking trails. Easy access to the lake. A lot of people come here to boat and fish. You can rent paddleboards and kayaks here.

My site ("A"), is a dry camping site, was level and had plenty of space. Restrooms and showers were clean. Easy access to trash, water, and dump.

The park is fairly clean. But there is also trash here and there. We picked up two or three small bags of small pieces of trash on our walks. I don't want to make it sound like the park looks dirty or trashy, because it doesn't. But we are leave it cleaner than you found it types.

We enjoyed our stay and would come back again....

I actually stayed here in 2023, May 17-22. It was a pleasant stay. The water at the RV site is hard water to be sure. I say that for information only. Staff was helpful and friendly from beginning to end.

I knew I wanted to come to Quartzsite, but really was not sure what area I would want to go to. A youtuber I follow, "Living Free", had been staying in La Posa South already for a couple of months or so. He was posting videos about the area fairly regularly. So, I decided this was the place I wanted to go. I've been here since 11/11, and plan to remain at least to mid February. The area is beautiful. Everyone I've met is really friendly. Quartzsite is a nice little town with pretty much everything you need. I've been able to get my groceries, RV accessories and parts, solar addons and accessories, tools, etc. Except for the fuels stations the businesses are all mom and pop, privately owned type businesses. The owners and staff of every business I've go to have been friendly and helpful. So far, I've been able to purchase pretty much anything I need right in Quartzsite. You can have packages shipped to "Quiet Times" in Quartzsite. That's been handy for a few things I wanted to order off Amazon. Silly Al's Pizza has great pizza, and great service. There are at least two laundromat. The weather has been mostly moderate so far. I enjoy being able to take some nice walks around here. This location has potable water, a dump station, and trash bens. So that's really handy. There are also a few restrooms.

This has been my second winter at La Posa South, but not my last. I really enjoy it here. I love the spectacular sunrises and sunsets. The landscape id beautiful. It gets noisy and dusty during the busy part of the season, about mid January through mid February when people descend upon the area for the various shows and attractions in Quartzsite. It's much more peaceful before and after that timeframe. But still good all season.

The local Quartzsite restaurants and food vendors are awesome. They really work hard to serve us well. I feel like a vocal dysfunctional minority of folks who come mid January through mid February (the busiest part of the season) can give them a bad rap some times. Yea, when there are hundreds of thousands of people descendent upon Quartzsite, service can be a little slow at times. I encourage visitors to be patient, be kind, and embrace the great experience the locals strive to provide. A special shout out to: Barbi's Place, where I got my home cooked Thanksgiving dinner this season. Time Three Family Restaurant, who has friendly and attentive staff and great food. Silly AL's for great pizza and service, Gringos has some great food too. There are others, but those are my goto restaurants.

I am also going to dispel some assertions about Quartzsite grocery markets. Some like to say "items" are more expensive in Quartzsite grocery stores than Parker grocery stores etc. That's *true*. BUT, often egregiously exaggerated. I've heard amounts like “three times more” in Quartzsite. The TRUTH of the matter is THIS: Items are a LITTLE higher in Quartzsite. Nowhere near 3 times higher. Something $7 at a Parker or Blythe grocery store might be $8 or $9 (in some cases less) in Quartzsite. I keep hearing (last year and this year) how much cheaper groceries are in Blythe and Parker as compared to Quartzsite. But to be honest. By the time you drive to places like Blythe and Quartzite, you’ve maybe broke even, or paid MORE in total expense. That’s just a fact. I do shop in Blythe and Parker. But ONLY if I have another reason to go there. For me, and in my experience, it’s cheaper, and less time consuming to buy my groceries here if all I’m needing that day are groceries. And the stores here have a good selection, good quality items including fresh foods. So I encourage all visitors to the area to shop local and support these locally owned and operated venues.

Last but not least, I've made some great friends and acquaintances here, that I look forward to seeing again next year.

This year I was in La Posa South the full 7 months of the season +...$180 for the season which runs September 15-April15. I enjoy the amenities, easy access to water, trash, and wastewater dump. More importantly, the sense of community I've developed over the past three seasons. Good friends and a feeling of family with good people.

We decided to make a stop over here and enjoy the trails etc. Staff at the trading post was very nice. We hiked the trails and shopped at the trading post. It's a beautiful area, nested in the trees, and very peaceful.

The have restrooms and showers, and water is available. The camping is dry camping (no hookups). The spot I parked in was mostly level. I didn't even unhook. They are pet friendly. Our dog got to enjoy the trails with us.

I was in the Quartzsite area from 10 Nov 2020 - 21 March 2021. I made all of my propane purchases except one, at RV Pitstop. Not a lot to say. You pull up, present your tank to be filled. They fill it, you pay, and you leave. I did fill my tank once in Parker Az since I was going there anyway. I assumed propane would be cheaper there since the general "narrative" among many Quartzsite visitors is that things are cheaper in Parker, and it's recommended you go there to save money. Upon my return to Quartzsite, and passing by RV Pit Stop, I noticed their price, and it was less than what I paid in Parker. I'm not sure that on balance you really save much if anything driving to and from, and shopping in Parker. But, this is not a review of Parker, it's a review of RV Pit Stop, so I digress.

RV Pit Stop offer's a variety of services to the visiting RV community, for a fair price in my opinion. I plan to continue using them when I return to Quartzsite in the future..

I stayed here August 29th- September 8th. I am a full time RVer, and "mostly" boondock. However, I do like to stay in an RV park from time to time. This is my 3rd season in the Quartzsite area, and I normally stay out at the LTVAs. I had decided to head to the area earlier this year than I did the last to years. The forecast indicated temperatures in up to and beyond 110. So, I thought I'd get somewhere that I could plug in to shore power and run my AC units until the temperatures lowered to a range I could tolerate while off grid. Quail Run RV Park fulfilled my needs excellently.

So this was technically Quail Run's off season. But they'll let you stay there. The park is not really staffed during this time. But there is an easy self check in system at the office. I'd called in advance and left a message asking about staying there. I was called back in a day or two. The lady that retuned my call was really nice and helpful. She explained that the 10 spots behind (or west of) the office were for off season stays. And that IF those were full, then the 10 sites in front (or east of) the office should be used.

I arrived late afternoon on the 29th of August. The aforementioned self checking was easy. I got that taken care of, picked out my spot, and set up. The sites are level, the park is clean and well maintained. The next morning a gentleman stopped my my site to check and see if I had everything I needed for my stay. I thought that was a great gesture. But also typical of my experience in and around Quartzsite in general. The locals are always friendly, welcoming, and strive to provide great customer service.

I will say their wifi did not seem to work. I logged onto it a couple of times, but had not internet access. Not a big deal for me since I rarely use any RV parks internet. (I have my own) The restrooms, showers, and laundry rooms were clean and well kept.

All in all I had a pleasant stay. A few over nighters came and went while I was there. There where a few long term occupants there. But the park was mostly empty during my stay. September 9th I relocated to public lands in the area.

Being that this is during off season a lot of Quartzsite business were closed. But the grocery stores where open, and well stocked.

(Contrary to what a lot of people say on the internet about Quartzsite, the grocery stores here are NOT over priced. In fact I've done a one to one comparison on the items I typically buy, and there just is not much difference between Quartzsite, Parker, and Blythe. In fact some items are cheaper in Quartzsite, other items a little more expensive. To be honest, I'd call it a wash.)

Also during this time Silly Al's Pizza was open, so was Karen's Café, and Mountain Quail Café. Probably some others, but honestly I don't eat out a lot. That said, all three of those are awesome!. I also highly recommend X 3 Family Restaurant when they are open for the season, as well as Black Rock Café in Brenda.

Back to the Quail Run RV Park, I'll wrap it up by saying I'd stay with them again without hesitation.

We stayed here for a month, April 16 - May 16... The people that run this park are very friendly and accommodating. Laundry room, restrooms etc. are clean. It was nice to have full hookups after spending 7 months dry camping in La Posa South.

This time of year they were mostly empty/emptying out, as the region was getting hot.

I didn't use their internet so can't speek to that. But they seem to have good coverage with wifi antennas placed around the park.

The also own the new RV Relife which has a filtered water station .25 per gallon. Also propane sales, RV freshwater fill, and dump station. I used their propane fill, and filtered water station most of the season while at La Posa South. They are an alternative to RV Pit Stop... Highly recommended...

Other parks in the area do offer additional amenities like swimming pool, hot tube etc. So if you are looking for those types of amenities, check around. Not to take anything away from Quail Run, but had I thought about it, I may have looked into the parks that offer such...

In looking at the previous reviews, I'm not sure there is much I can add. But I can affirm this is a great stop whether for a night, or a few days. The views here are fantastic. The trail through the lava flow is well built, and handicap accessible. It could easily be negotiated with a scooter or wheelchair.

On a personal note, I found myself thinking about my departed mother while walking the trail. In her final days she had mobility issues. I was just thinking, this is a place I could bring her, if she was still with us. I know she would enjoy it.

The campsites and restrooms are very clean, very well maintained. There are a couple of handclapped accessible sites. The shower building and at least one of the restrooms is also handicapped accessible. This place, though a small camp ground, is easily big rig accessible, and designed to you can turn around at either end. So no issue driving from one end to the other with your rig to scout a good spot. It's very peaceful and quiet here, and easy to get a good sleep. Great cell service with Verizon and ATT (not sure if that's a plus or minus ahah:-) )

I'd stay here again....
