This place is truly magical!! So close to so many activities but you will pay for them, you also have to pay the National Park entrance fee currently at 25$ for the week. Campsites are private unless you get put in loop D, otherwise this is definitely a yearly stop!!

Website says rigs of 44’ ok.,. Absolutely NOT!!! There wasn’t a camp host to check you in so we headed towards our designated site, we’re 40’ and could barely make it through the road to our site. Luckily found an RV park close that had 4 days available. Hoping we can get a refund from recreation.gov

We have OHV’s and love to ride the rocks and the sand! Great trails with a map available on Avenza maps. Occasionally windy and when the weather is warmer the lake usually has the swimmers itch but we’ve never been bothered with it. This spring the water is VERY high and beach camping is limited. If you stay on the beach with primitive camping, make sure the sand is hard packed, my husband pulled out numerous vehicles that we’re stuck. If you don’t find a Good Samaritan you will have to call a tow truck which is very expensive!! Weekends are very busy on the sand. Beach resort has good good and rents out various toys for the sand and lake.
