I stopped by to see if we could dump and they said it is $5 for non-campers. The dump is available when the office is open which is M-F 8AM-4PM.

No potable water but easy to dump.

This is an easy stop for us after moochdocking with family in the area.

Wide lot that is rarely full or too busy to navigate through despite a busy campground and boat launch. Even plenty of room to park for a few if you want to run across the street for ice cream.

$5 with rinse water but no potable water.

This is a pretty small Love's for being right off the interstate. We stopped here once for gas and someone parked within a few feet of our rig and we had to squeeze our way out. To get the dump station on the correct side of most rigs, you'll have to pull around the whole parking lot in front of the store. We didn't try it and for our needs on I-35 in this area, we've since made Petro across the street our go-to if we have our trailer. Smaller rigs should have no issues!

We were staying at Lake Carlos State Park in the Lower Campground but walked up here to check it out.

There is a bit more privacy here than the lower campground. No lake views. Two shower houses, trash and recycling. Some sites have 30Amp, others are dry camping. Reservations needed for all.

The area actually looks pretty unused with vegetation growing on most of the gravel pads but it was still kept up. There were a handful of campers here mid-week in July.

Aside from lake views, the main difference were the insane flies. Some deer flies. Most people had screen houses set up. We walked a bit faster to get back to the Lower Campground.

My opinion is if there are sites open in the lower campground, stay there. It's a bit less private but lake views and few bugs make up for it.

We just needed water here which was .15 a gallon when we stopped. You just need to estimate for the cashier.

There are two dump stations, both with water and both water and the dump is locked so you'll need to run in for the key. You can bypass anyone at the dump in the back to go to the dump and water on the side, plenty of room to pass by.

The dump at the back of the store also has bulk propane so 3 in 1 stop if you need it.

Just a couple miles south of I-8 and made a good one night stop. First come-first-served with an overflow area if all the sites are full. Sites are huge and some had picnic tables, some didn't.

Security took our names down since we arrived after check-in and told us to stop by lodging in the morning. However, there are sign-in sheets available at lodging that you can fill in when you arrive after hours.

No facilities on base. The water has had issues and current status is posted in the laundry room on whether it is safe or not. Might as well come with a full-tank just in case.

No showers or bathrooms. Laundry is free with a limit of two loads per site, per day.

Verizon worked well enough for zoom calls.

Easy in and out from either direction. There is a collection box stating $3. Rinse water for stinky slinky but not threaded and does not state it is potable. The dump area is clean.

The city park is a really nice place to stretch your legs when driving across MT-2. There is an ice cream truck at the park (at least when we stopped by!) that has soft serve huckleberry sundaes and dole whip!

After using the dump, there is a large area across the street to pull off with plenty of room for big rigs if you want to spend time at the park, use the restroom or have ice cream.

Unless they change it after construction is completed (2022), if any RV's are parked in the rv spots (which you need to back into) next to the dump station, you won't be able to swing wide and pull into the dump station with a bigger rig. You will have to back into the dump station lane.

We drove around to a few of the 'campground' areas that the ACE manages around Fort Peck. They call these campgrounds however, they are more like designated dispersed spots. No reservations, no cost.

As you drive into this area, there is a group site on the right but if you keep going straight or take a left turn, there are spaces galore. There are picnic tables and fire pits throughout the area. Some spaces have one rig per table/pit and others were gathered in groups of RV's. Of all the areas we looked at in the area, this appeared to have some longer term rigs there (grass was growing pretty tall under a few rigs) despite the stay limit being 14 days but it didn't feel unsafe or sketchy. I'd guess people just park their rigs there so they have a place to fish on the weekends.

It's still a pretty area with plenty of open space on a Saturday night the weekend of the walleye opener.

Vault toilets but no other amenities. Signs request you to pack in/pack out.

Potable water at the end of the RV gas lane closest to the building.

Dump station between the two RV gas lanes and the building.

Very easy to access and about 2 minutes off the 80.
