The Frío river is awesome. Our grandkids loved the river. They played by the dam and tubed down stream. Our kids rented paddle boats and kayaks. The hikes were filled with excellent views. Old Baldy trail is a must. We were able to take wild horse creek trail, Foshee trail, Polly trail and Bridges trail on one of our hikes. It was a total of three miles. From Polly trail we were able to see Old Baldy and the river. Beautiful. We stayed in Shady Oaks campground and it was a pull through with full hookups. The campground restrooms are super clean and have air conditioning. Wow what a plus. We paid 174.50 but we had guests come and go throughout our stay. 8 adults and 3 children and 5 vehicles. Everyone paid their share. Lots of FUN!
