Great free camping between the 2 parks. No one around middle of May. Close to the scenic byway so not entirely quiet but never a problem.
Had to clean up after previous campers but it was windy there so who knows where the trash came from.
The road to the tent sites require a 4WD I think there was a flat area near the road for trailers.

Well maintained camp ground with friendly host and a feeling of privacy. Mostly draws a fishing crowd but was a great stop on a 16 day road trip. Easy hike around the lake or a more rigorous one up the mountain.
