Haven’t we progressed in society enough to know that “the green man” is completely inappropriate and cruel monicker for a disabled person who became disabled due to bullying as a child? This person was bullied all his life. He was sought after, beat up, was considered a freak show and turned into a legend that should’ve been stopped long ago. Instead of feeling empathy for him, he is still in his death, being mocked, laughed at and lied about. People did him wrong for most of his horrific disabled and painfully lonely life.
He was robbed of a normal life by a dare when he was 10 years old. A little boy.
Can’t we now, at least, let him rest in peace and show honor by not calling him “the green man” anymore?
His name was Raymond and he was a burned by electricity. No one should take any pleasure in his suffering. Not then, not now.

Stop calling it The Green Man Tunnel. I think you all can figure out how horrible this is by inserting a race color or degrading name in place of GREEN. This was a flesh and blood human being. Let’s just stop.
