Unexpected great weather this time. ( Weekend of March 16) High 60's and no wind! Above summary and previous reviews remain valid. The only thing to add is that the drivable beach is a 5 min drive away and will handle cars, trucks and RV's easily. No camping there though. Also, the Hosts advised that firewood will only be sold at the park office now instead of by the hosts due to safety concerns of having cash on hand. This may end up applying to all WA state parks. Sign of the times. Nice and quiet this time of year and still a great park. AT&T very spotty. T-Mobile worked fine for phone and data.

Great park, and therefore hard to get in during warm weather. 9 month advance rez allowed, and pretty much needed in summer. We were there the weekend prior to Christmas, and while the website showed about 10-20% remaining capacity, it seemed like much more. Bad weather fcst likely caused cancellations. We had high wind one night (25 gusting to 40) and rain all but one afternoon, but it was quiet and peaceful otherwise, and even forced us to read these weird things called books. Park staff very friendly and informative. This is BY FAR one of the cleanest and best kept parks we've experienced. Large sites with excellent separation and privacy at most sites. Most are back in, but easy to maneuver and most sites are 60-70' long and 20 wide. 30/50a and water only at sites, but an easy to use Dump Station for any size rig. Very popular for clamming in season, however that's cancelled till at least year end due to high toxin level. Normal surf line is about 1/2 mile walk, but less than fun without boots during wet season. Otherwise a mostly level walk from the sites, but there are no ocean views from within this park. Some park roads and sites can flood during King Tides, but this is well advertised. With the weather we had you can still hear the surf as if you were 50 feet away. Cell service very weak and intermittent, and no Wi-Fi. We're looking forward to returning ASAP.

Great view from the sites. Under new ownership and Sarah and family are working hard to improve the campground from the condition they bought it in. We had dinner in their cafe. Tasty Bison burger and Rueben sandwich. We looked forward to a perfect sunset but due to fcst high wind and heavy rain at our next stop if we stayed, we departed the same night we arrived. This spot is a work in progress but they are hard at it. And only minutes from the NM entrance. It appeard only Site 1&5 are level. Depending on your rig size, little to significant leveling may be required. Elec only (30&50a) but you can top your water from a hose bib on the shower house. You'll need 40-50 feet of hose to do this though. We'll be back!

Most of the previous reviews remain true. Your cell phone will grab Canadian cells, with limited data capability. Voice cell was fine, but remember it's international. AT&T and T-Mobile cells totally unreliable from our site.(thankfully, unless you really need that). Park was busy all day but quiet at night. And the bonus for us this time of year was the unusually warm days. Daytime temps in the high 60's, clear skies and no wind the entire time.

Lots of families and day users, but no issues with any of them. Utility spaces have no privacy, but spacing is adequate and the design lends itself to having your table, well kept grass area and fire ring to the back side of your neighbors rig. No issue maneuvering our 32' rig and room for our toad in the space. Not true for every space, but parking was only a two minute walk if needed. Several 40' rigs fit easily. Easy to level.
30/50a and water at site. Dump station very easy to use for any size rig.

View from our site was excellent, however we only had very small trailers in front of us. The site rows are terraced, so you will see the water, just partially obstructed if you're in the middle row. Beach access is a hike down steep stairs, but the tidepools and a small sand beach are close. Interesting history of coastal defense bunkers. They're a close and easy walk or drive and within park boundaries. Park staff very friendly and helpful. Overall a great weekend and we look forward to returning.
