Franks Point of View is a hidden gem. All sites have a pavilion and some also have a carport. With only 8 sites, you’re guaranteed a great view. The have nice trails on the property and their dog Nellie will most likely join you as she roams the property freely and loves to lead the way. Not much nearby besides a Dollar General and a Piggly Wiggly but being away from all the luxuries is what makes this place what it is; an escape from the craziness. Worth the drive out here.

I use T-Mobile home internet to work remotely and I was able to 2 out of 5 bars but it was very inconsistent. As for cell service, it varied on each site from 1 bar up to 5 bars of service. The property owner uses T-Mobile internet for personal use and in their office for public use so it just depends on where you are standing.

Every review you’ve read about this campground is spot on from the owners to the events. You will see them day and night working and paying attention to every detail that even some of the best campgrounds don’t think about all the while embracing a happy spirit 24/7.

As a remote worker, their internet might be the best internet I will ever experience in a campground. They have 5 different networks around the campground to ensure wherever you are, you have options to find one that runs the fastest for you. I video called and worked all work without a single problem.

This campground is a no brainer and i recommend staying for a full week to enjoy all the events they offer.

I will be back!

Spent a week in site E3. The campground is it a great place for families as there is a nice pool, playground, and recreational building. The tour of the cavern was great. If you are here during the summer time, I highly recommend seeing if the local summer collegiate baseball team, The New Market Rebels, are playing as it “True Americana”. Stop over at Pack’s Frozen Custard as well!

Pros:
The site itself was very large and well maintained.
Great water pressure.
Great sewer hookup.

Cons:
Since I work remotely, I chose site E3 with the hope that it would have the best wifi with its proximity to the bath house as a back up to my internet but the wifi really only works if you sit at the bath house.
Site E3 is one of the very few that still have old plug ins making it almost impossible to use a surge protector. I had to use a bungee cord to keep my surge protector plugged which I did not love.
There tends to me a constant cloud of dust due to the gravel roads.

I use T-Mobile home internet and had no troubles with video calls and work until Thursday and Friday when the park began to fill up a lot more and I noticed both internet and cell for T-Mobile slowed down.

Reserved a full week here and contrary to T-Mobile coverage maps and other campground review apps, there is no service. I work remotely so I left after the first day. I’m giving the park 4 stars because everything besides that was great.

I stayed 12 days at Fontainebleau State Park in what is considered the North campground, which by my luck happened to be the better campground. It is a bicyclist’s paradise thanks to the wonderful bike path that you can enter just one mile from the campground. This bike path runs through multiple towns and connects you to downtown Mandeville safely. The downtown area is a must to explore and there is a great snowball stand on the path halfway between downtown and the campground.

This campground is very popular on the weekends but rather empty during the week.

Pros and Cons of campground:
PROS
- Level Concrete Sites (North Campground)
- Well maintained bathrooms/showers
- Lots of shade (North Campground)
- Plenty of space between sites
- Quiet

CONS
- Major flooding between sites where your picnic table is
- It seems there are some people secretly living in the woods and in their cars in the tent area and although the park does a great job of cleaning up the bathrooms, the people who seem to be living in the park make a real mess of the bathrooms during the week when the park is less crowded

Cell Service/Internet
I use T-Mobile Home Internet to work remotely and I had 2 out of 5 bars and was able to do video-conferences, stream videos, and make calls with no problem. I did not attempt to use the public wifi.
