Stayed in site #2. Had fun at the 4th of July event that they hosted. Music, BBQ food truck and fireworks. Otherwise park is quiet and peaceful. Enjoyed my stay and will stay here again if back in this area.

If I used to think of anything negative to say, it’s that Hawthorne is such a small town, there is not much here. But as for the RV Park, everything seems to be well maintained. Lots are mostly concrete and gravel with a few spots of grass throughout the park. If you are outside, you can hear road noise from the highway, but it’s not incredibly loud and we couldn’t hear the voice inside of our camper.

It was my bad to select 173. I thought this space would be handy to be near the restaurant and store (which is still closed due to covid). Also, the foot traffic gets heavy at times for everyone going to the swimming pool. So I’d stay here again for sure, just not in the same spot 173. My rate was a little cheaper due to being a Good Sam member. When everything is ok, they have a rec area with pool table, air hockey, plus a cafe area, swimming pool, and a pond you can fish out of. Seemed to be one of the nicer parks I have stayed at

The park was very clean and seemed to be maintained pretty well for the most part. The bathrooms were clean and they even had a clean scent to them. The only downsides were that the WiFi was not working (which we get internet from our AT&T cell service anyway) so not a total loss, the power was disrupted with only a sign at the office window saying the power was out throughout the park, and the office has limited hours. Most of the cable tv channels worked, but there a quite a few of them that were audio only and no video. Overall, we were happy with our stay and will be happy to stay again.

Cost $45/nt included our Good Sam discount for full hookups to accommodate our 20’ travel trailer.

We’ve stayed here before. Since we have a dog, we like to stay near the dog walk. In my reservations, I specifically put on the comments we wanted to be near the dog walk. When I arrived, were were assigned to be on the other side of the park. So I had to pay extra for a pull through (instead of a back in one) to be 3 rows away. Come to find out, spots K33 & K34 (which the staff told me that row is now available), stayed open during our entire stay. The grass in most other spots are very minimal. So I may stay here again, but I will think twice before doing so and may go up to Gold Ranch RV park instead.

The new slot I was assigned too was paved, but so uneven that it took me over 30 minutes to level my camper out.
