Park

A great park managed by clueless bureaucrats who don’t have a clue.

The misery starts 2-minutes after you park and are told that interstate vehicles must login to reserveamerica.com. Unfortunately there is no wifi so the potential visitors were walking all over the parking lot looking for a cell signal.

We couldn’t find one, so we drove a couple of miles down the road until we found a signal. That’s when the real fun begins.

Navigating this website is a nightmare. There is no guest login. You must sign up. The site is full of spam and offers. If you accidentally check any of the blue boxes—you’re a member and they’ll Candace your card every month.

The Connecticut parks department executives must have been on some pretty heavy drugs, in the middle of a seizure or totally brain dead when they picked reserve America as a vendor.

This vendor turns what should be a relaxing day at the park into a challenge. Luckily, the solution is easy. Install wifi and hire a 12-Year-old to redesign the website—or put a few old-fashioned envelopes on top of a lockbox and get visitors to fill them in when they arrive. Life should not be this difficult.
