It’s a nice secluded desert with wide open sky. Nice place for the dogs. A few people came and went throughout the day to walk around a bit but it’s very quiet. It’s just a few miles from where I live so I tried it to practice using solar etc. great cell service but I couldn’t figure out my wi fi ranger. No firepits but we used the standing grill and it was fine.

We thought it was first come but luckily got a spot in dry side. Sites are large and open. The river is beautiful. Perfect for dogs. The general water spigots weren’t turned on but the bathroom is clean and dry. Tokens only. Not really a destination but great stopover

Lots of pull thru spots. No internet unless you walk down to the lake which I did to read a news story now and then. Staff Ed is very nice. Great spot if you want to hang out at Mt Rainer for awhile. Ice machine has been out of service all season. Skate Creek Rd from Packwood to Ashford was an unexpected route from my GPS. 17 miles of deeeeeep forest 😅. But I would do it again.
