Not far from a boondocking experience in a place with no WiFi, cell phone coverage, or TV reception, but for good money. Staff is friendly. Easy access off the interstate.

We had to work off a wood pile in the middle of the grassy area of the property to get any WiFi connectivity. Their WiFi antenna placed so it only points toward some sites. No WiFi signal even on the office porch. Essentially no ATT nor T-Mobile service good enough to get internet either. No cable TV, no over the air TV reception here.

Gravel sites. Grass in between. No mats allowed on grass. Two big, but open (not fenced) grassy dog run areas. No inside area for guests other than small laundry area.

Essentially we paid to have power, water & sewer in a park with no amenities & not near anything. For those reasons we’d not stay here again.

Note. If you’re heading southbound in your travels get fuel in Dillon as there’s essentially no good fuel options for a very long way from this park south.

Apparently the owners of Glacier Peaks CG have purchased or are in the process of purchasing Mountain View. Potential guests are being referred to Glacier Peaks' phone number when they call Mountain View's number.

A little worried as Glacier Peak's rating here on Campendium is not great. Also, has been a PITA trying to get someone to answer the phone during business hours to inquire about price/availability.

Staff both in the office & in the store out front were very nice, if not for them I’d rate lower.

Sites are dirt & ours was not level (a big pet peeve of mine). Even our picnic table was on a slope.

WiFi was not reliable unless working outside the office or in the rec room. This was even though we were sited close to office & WiFi antenna.

If we were to stay here again I would rather be in the newer area of the park even though it has some negatives as well (like being dustier).

Next time in area we’d probably choose to stay in Whitefish or Columbia Falls as we ended up were there more days doing things than inside Glacier itself.

Pros: It's cheap; it's within walking distance to the Fremont Street Experience
Cons: Asphalt parking lot located basically under/beside elevated freeway that is the highest traffic area in the state of NV; HIGH crime area--Highly recommend you lock up EVERYTHING unless you're physically there watching everything.

Didn't care for the utility setup as it's in an enclosed 'box' type deal shared with neighbor. Sewer drain was contained inside this 'box' & it had no cap on it... lots of flies even with the outer door closed.

Not a place at all where you're able to enjoy sitting around your RV relaxing as there's no space, noise, & surrounding area loaded with vagrants / crime. Would not stay here in the summer months as there's essentially no shade which means it's brutally hot during the Jun-Sep timeframe.

Will we stay here again for a quick OVN, yes. But I have to emphasize being on your game in regard to protecting yourself & your property while here.

Unless you're oblivious to noise & local crime situation you will be hard-pressed to get a good night's sleep here. It is noisy on a good day (freeway right there) but can be (& was) extremely bad this past stay for us. Racing cars & motorcycles on Fwy & nearby streets all night long; the fire station nearby had vehicles running code all night long; nearby gunshots (no joke) at various points during night. RV park had a few nice rigs in it but also had some really old fairly broken down rigs with some sketch people as well.

Didn't see much hotel security the 1st day & night but did see them cruising through the area on check out day. We also didn't see any vagrants inside the property while there which is kind of amazing as the homeless / vagrant situation right outside the park & extending a mile or so to the North is of biblical proportions.

They currently have about 1/3rd of the grounds blocked off (not in use). Seemed to have a good handle on trash pickup but weeds / grass prevalent around the pavement.

We only use this place for a crash pad spot once or twice a year during times we wanted to hang out for events like concerts, beer festivals etc around the Downtown/Fremont area but after this last stay the odds we use it again are a lot slimmer than they ever were. They really need to get a handle on who they let stay here as some of the 'guests' gave us more cause for concern than the homeless outside the property so to speak. I'm generally not for the 10-year-rule for rigs at RV parks but some of the people staying here are poster children for why those policies exist at certain parks. Back pre-covid when it was around $30 a night this was a better option but for north of $50 now we'd be hard pressed to consider staying here an ok thing.

Plenty of big-rig parking / 'oversize' parking just off the street before you physically enter the RV park itself. I would recommend parking there & checking it. Or, better yet, call the hotel front desk & ask if you have an assigned spot # & drive to it then walk over to the hotel to check in. There's not enough parking at the hotel main front area to mess with trying to park there & get checked in, at least in my opinion.

We didn't use the showers/bathrooms & under so circumstances would we due to the perceived crime threat in the immediate area. We did see some people using them but it's a hard 'no' for us.

Also, note the pull-thru slots can have you placed so the utilities are on the wrong side of your rig....it's luck of the draw which side you end up on or you'll have to drive into the site 'backwards' if you want the utilities on the driver's side of your camper.

The original designers of this park were mostly genius-level & about the only thing that the original owners (Terrible's company) never enacted was supplying cable TV service to the guests. To this day there is still no cable service (bummer) but our OTA antenna picked up a lot of HD channels (ABC, Fox, etc etc). Is it perfect, no, but I've yet to find a park that is. All-in-all the current owners & management are doing a good job with the place IMO.

Pluses: Level concrete pads, many with now mature shade trees; Nice pool if you can stand a lot of kids being in/around the pool with you; Fantastic walking loop around the lake / park itself; Restaurant/gas station store right there (if you can stand biblical level cigarette smoke); Security was visible & was not allowing the place to get out of hand (years ago it was out of control a lot during summer nights); Had a band playing a free concert next to the lake 1 night of the holiday weekend from 6-9pm & that was great.... they even enacted a security checkpoint at the park entrance to keep non-guests from coming in, much appreciated.

Negatives (mostly nit-picking level stuff): Some full-time/permanent 'residents'.... detracts a little from the overall vibe / ascetics & generally speaking perm residents are not particularly friendly/social; Sorely need a kiddie pool area & sorely need more shade around the existing pool; Office hours are banker's hours (kind of unsat closing at 5pm every day); the grass isn't pristine in many spots around the park; some of the mature hardwood trees around the park are dying which is a shame however, plenty of mature trees are about.

Minor Issues we had this stay: Staff screwed up our reservation in that they changed our reserved site to one that we found we hated (57 due to no shade & being next to a perm resident). Worst part was the one we were told we had at time of rez was never occupied the entire weekend. We did end eventually request & end up being allowed to change to another site, but the hassle was an unnecessary event due to the park not being sold out during our stay. LOTS of ants around the site, we could've used some insect spray but unfortunately the store there doesn't carry that kind of stuff.

Most important thing 1st: Do not make reservations for here if you're 4 or less days from your arrival date. The 'system' shouldn't allow anyone to do so, but it does. We made our reservations on a Weds for Saturday arrival & found out when we arrived someone else was in our site (double-booking issues). Per the camp host, others were showing up to check in when we were & having the same problem.

The area is beautiful and the campground is very nice by Forest Service standards. No hookups though. No cell service I'm aware of. There is a pay phone (yes I said pay phone) within a 1/2 mile or so if you needed to make an important call to anyone. Odd sites are reserve-able via recreation.gov, even # sites are 1st-come/1st serve. Flush toilets around the complex but they were blown up the weekend we were there. Neither of us would use them.

Other than the reservation system weirdness (5 days out limitation), the main issue I have with the place is with its proximity to Las Vegas (way too close) and hence the level of riff-raff is substantial. We did see 4-5 flavors of law enforcement cruise through the park at varying times.... there is a reason for that. It's good they were around at random times but bad it's needed.
