There are awesome boondocking spots around here, and I would encourage you to check those out. However, when the batteries get dry and the tanks get full, this is a great place to plug in for a night or two.
For a little over the price of a dump station you will park next to a baseball field, in the middle of a disc golf course. I was here in winter and no one was in a rush to use either. The course doesn't seem very amazing to me, but there aren't a lot of hills around here to add variety to the course.
Reservations are a bit of a trick - you book a spot through city hall which has limited business hours. The 15a plugins on my site didn't work, but the ones next to it do. 30a works fine. I'm guessing it got added to someone's list to address sometime.
I was the only one using their facilities in December, but the spots are pretty close together. No fire pits or grills that I noticed.
This is a well-maintained park. I am currently at the main pier on the north end of the park. There are several garbage cans near a lot of fire pits. The gravel in was smooth sailing. I did cross a wooden bridge on the west side of the park - the sign claims 4 tons, but it made me a bit nervous.
I will probably hop around sites tomorrow to see if I can find better cell service; it's the only detraction I have for this park.

I stop here a few times a year. The park is inside a town, there is a Pizza Pub (read: restaurant and bar) within walking distance, and it's just off one of the town's main roads. Use that information to contextualize noise complaints.
I've never seen a meth user down there. I think I am probably who the previous reviewer was talking about. I'm just a dude with a beard in a 2-year-old class c. I was in my RV working (as a computer programmer) for most of my stay there. There were also several families around, having a good time. I usually reserve the same spot, but the electricity has never been down for me, at worst I've had to flip the breaker.
This park is utilitarian, for sure. If you're here to get to the river, it's great for that. If you need to park your RV somewhere with electricity and water for a few days, it's good for that. There's a gas station a few miles away that offers a dump station when you fill up. I'd prefer a dump station at the park, especially for this price.
I never use the onsite facilities, I can't speak to them.

This place has fallen behind on maintenance for sure. The on site laundry is a hard no. The office is a mess. Trees scratched the top of my class C and it was a tight fit otherwise. There are several 5th wheels that are/should be abandoned on the lot.
In my situation, I needed electricity and privacy to work. I got that. The owners received and delivered mail for me. Water and sewage worked. No one felt the need to touch my gear. My neiyou'ghbor was a nice guy. The owner was friendly to me.
I understand why people would nope out of this place. I nearly did, but it was late and I didn't have a good plan b. If you're looking for a place to plug in and be left alone, this is a good spot for it.

I parked here in the afternoon with the intent to do some work, nap, and push on to Colorado. Constant semi noise up to one parking behind me with their engine on killed that plan.
There's a state fishing park 8 minutes away. If you need quiet, go there.
If you want to wake up looking at the Iowa River, you can do that here.

Okay, after reading the reviews I was a little confused. I got in touch with the clerk of courts. She told me the membership is for fishing.
If you keep going past the trails that go down to the lake you will find the campground. I've posted pictures with the map location of where you can park, the spot to pay with an envelope, and the entrance to the camping area.
Nice flat grass lots, dumpsters, grills, picnic benches under shelters. The water and electric are about 20 feet from the back of your rig, so if you have short cables and hoses be warned.
