I wanted to stop and say thank you (first of all) for posting this bit about history. The story of Bonnie and Clyde as I am learning more about them - is fascinating. I just wanted to add - that about a month later in May - the gang made their last bank robbery up in Everly, Iowa. It still makes for an interesting story in Stuart as they were robbed on the last string of robberies - just not the exact LAST robbery. Apparently, Clyde liked to make his way back into Iowa because they were often unrecognized - not as known and popular as they were down in Texas and Oklahoma - and the robbery attempts usually went better in small towns with less armed guards and police to deal with. Thanks again for sharing history.
