Park is not open this time of year so called the Forest Service and they said camping is allowed and pack out all trash. We took in many sights and did some rock hounding.

Came to The Colony Texas to visit our Son and the park is 5 minutes from his house. We felt lucky to grab one of the 5 sites. The park has electric and water only but there is a dump station. The staff is wonderful and the park is only open from 7 am to 7 pm so there are two gates which they provide the combos to enter after hours. Loved our visit and will return.
