Get to know this 6.8-mile out-and-back trail near Topanga, California. Generally considered a moderately challenging route, it takes an average of 3 h 8 min to complete. This is a very popular area for birding, hiking, and mountain biking, so you'll likely encounter other people while exploring. The trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime. You'll need to leave pups at home — dogs aren't allowed on this trail.
We stopped as we were driving thru. We stayed longer then we expected. This would be a great place to camp, enjoy the side by side and hike. We could spend 2 or days days here. I love history so this place was a nice treat.

A great stop. We loved riding the carousel. There is also a Geocache here at the sign. There’s a second one catty corner at the town water tower.
Stopped to stretch our legs and have lunch. There is a picnic table and lots of room for our dog to run.
This is the best Geocache I’ve ever been to. Signed the log, Took something and put in something.

I have stayed at a lot of KOAs, I’m a VIP member. I was really impressed with this particular KOA. It is super clean, organized and well maintained. It has a dog park. There are some sites with great shade and some without. There a pool, children’s park and corn hole. I didn’t give it 5 stars because of really wish there was a fridge of some sort in our cabin. We travel with a cooler and drinks. It would have been to put some of those things into the fridge. There is something wrong with the bed. My husband and I were stuck in the middle of the bed because the bed falls into the middle. I don’t know if it’s the mattress or the frame that holds the mattress.
Super small park but really cool to see these weird rocks. Expecting to see Smurfs come out of the rocks but no luck. Two very small paths lead to more of the mushroom rocks. Our visit gave us a bathroom break, allowed us to get out and walk about and walk our dog.
This hotel was okay. A lot of the cover of the chair in the room was missing. The mattress was an old spring mattress. My husband and I woke up with sore bodies. They also charged us for having my mobility service dog.
Not a perfect hotel but you can tell that the owner has pride in their hotel. The sink is falling off the bathroom wall. Lots of wear and tear But new furniture. The A/C’s noise kept me up until 1:30 am.
