The zoo was spread out with mostly North American native animals. Exotic animals are in small habitats and are not active and most were hiding in their shelters. For the price it was definitely not with it. There was also a train ride for $5 per person to go through the park. You would not see much on the train. Spend your money elsewhere.
I was nervous that the check-in was at a little diner (Penny’s Diner- great place) but the hotel was clean and nice. The price was much more reasonable and accommodations were good.
We ate at the Prospector Restaurant for lunch and the glasses of lemonade had dirt layered on the inside of the glasses. The food was gas station quality. Chicken strips were low grade freezer quality. None of the orders appeared to be fresh at all. On a positive note the workers were very kind. I can’t recommend this place for food.
