If you're looking for a place to sleep, fine, but if you want to have a quiet evening around your fire this is not the place. There are probably two or three times the number of sites that there should be, making all of them far too close together. The RV sites are all essentially side by side with maybe 10' between RVs, and the tent sites are 20' or 30' apart. There are a few nice tent sites where you can park and walk into the edge of the woods 75-100' away, but only two or three like this. Location is ok, close to the lake but no water views. Bathhouse was clean and well maintained but a little old. Lastly, the photos on the booking site are not representative of the sites.

Babcock is the crown jewel of WV State Parks. Great hiking and scenery. The campground is in a completely separate area of the park, however, and to get to the other features of the park you need to drive or take a longish hike.

The campground is well-situated and tent sites and non-electric sites are spaced nicely. RV sites seem a little cramped. We pulled our van into a fairly level tent site and had plenty of elbow room and privacy.

A dishwashing station was a nice perk, but the bathhouse is showing its age and could use some updating. Clean though.
