This is a great place to stay for the lake views and large space for any rig with easy access. Only 2 other rigs here. Close to Provo with scenic drive around the lake. The downside is the mayflies; there are a million of them and they like to hang out all over your rig and everything. Open your door and they come swarming in by the bucket load. I know they're harmless but what a mess to kill & clean up. Maybe at a different time of year it would be not so bad. Cell service was ok. Nearby Saratoga Springs has everything you need. The Smiths supermarket is awesome! Lake is very low and saw only a couple shallow bottom skiffs unload. Grounds do have some broken glass and a lot of shotgun shells, how unfortunate.

Visited 6/1-6/11. Easy to find. First mile of road is rocky & very bumpy, then goes to just bumpy washboard. Numerous pull offs for any size rig, mostly level. Very windy and dusty and HOT. The regional airport is nearby and provides entertainment with parachuters, hot air balloons, etc. Moab is about 20 minutes away, Arches is only about 15. This camping area is a bit further away than a couple of the others but is far nicer, more secluded, with good hiking/biking. Go eat at the food truck area and go rafting!!

It was a little tricky at night but not bad. Follow Usfs 3536 to the end where the boulders block the road, there's a turnaround there. Was quiet except for a tractor mowing the airfield. Dark. Only about 30 minutes to Sault Ste Marie. See other reviews about using the western leg of 3536. Just before the boulders there is a road to the left and you can see a large concrete pad which looks good for a spot. Check out satellite view before going in. Verizon barely had signal but was useable with my booster.

A place for any size rig. Some large pullouts with 'pods' of rigs to more woody spots further into the forest. You
can find as much shade or sun as needed. Cell signal varies greatly, scout around for good signal. Close to Flagstaff and attractions. Pilot gas station very close by. Free roaming cows, lots, they like to mooo thru much of the evening... Good hiking/biking. Great Mexican at El Tapatio!!

Quiet for a Saturday. Plenty of space to choose from. 3 bars Verizon. Right on the high water line! Listening to the waves lap is so soothing and peaceful. Quaint little town.

What a great place to park on the beach and chill. Getting there was easy and scenic driving past Crystal Beach and all the colorful stilt homes. Did check out Crystal Beach and it's not as nice a beach and a little busier with people and rigs. Bolivar Flats seems to be one long beach; cant tell the difference is between the permit portion and free area. Maybe it's which direction you turn onto the beach. The beach is definitely hard pack, no issues driving a rig on it. Not many rigs here, it's quiet and private with the occasional vehicle driving past. Saw a few families and fisherman making a day of it.
Did buy a $5 beach permit which was unnecessary; didn't see any patrols.
The Mexican restaurant G's is worth going to. The Big Store connected to Ace is the place to go shopping and get gas. They also serve prepared food(the pizza is good) and groceries, beach stuff, pretty much everything.
The ferry to Galveston is only about 4 miles west, is free and runs all day. Check out the lighthouse and Fort Travis..
NOTE; the salt air, nightly dense fog, wind and sand can be very corrosive to any metal.

Got here on a Tuesday and all sites were full except a small space. There is more camping past the end/turnaround thru the gate, I later found out. Wide open space with rolling hills, mountains all around and cows. The reviews below capture it. Good spot to park and use for day trips to Tombstone, Bisbee, Sierra Vista, Patagonia, etc. Also kinda close to Tuscon. Couple restaurants 6 miles away. Verizon with WeBoost gave me 5 bars.

The site manager, Jimmy, was friendly and helpful..Plenty of sites on the water with full hookup. Sites back up to boulders(rip rap) on the waters edge with beautiful views. The last site, 34, you can park parallel to the rip rap. The drive in was easy and scenic. Cell coverage for Verizon was good. Really nothing nearby, come in prepared and stay a while. The sites by the water do have flood lights so its bright all night long but adds a sense of security.

It's a nice campground with hiking, biking, boating on Baker Lake, swimming, views of mountains, nearby dam & quiet. Here after labor day it's free. Half has water & sewer, half is dry camping/primitive. Bathroom on primitive side. Cell signal was poor even with booster, but over by PSE facilities it was useable.
