The drive in was average washboard, but no major sand or ruts and just slow going with our 23’ trailer. Definitely worth it as the cove is beautiful. We stayed at the far southern end and our view of the mini-cove was free of other campers. Site was half full on Monday and nearly full by Friday morning. Only downside to our exact spot was it lacked cell coverage for AT&T until we put up our Weboost 65RV and then had 3 bars. All other spots along the water’s edge did have 2 bars coverage.

Ducks aplenty, and many other birds too! Water temp was 61 degrees on April 6 and weather was warm enough to make it a worthwhile soak. Picked up some trash and made use of the ginormous trash bins that are placed along the road. Area is patrolled daily by BLM.

Very peaceful low key spot during the weekdays, but we left before the weekend crowd arrived.

Very clean, quiet and secluded campsite. Registration allows free access to Lynx Lake, which would be $5 without a registration.

Mid-week there were many open spots. Wish I had rolled in without a reservation as the spot I reserved was very sloped. Was able to level out and then found that most of the sites were level. Had to pay the $8 fee at Recreation.gov, but offset that fee with a Senior Pass for a $9 discount.

Drove to the Lake and walked the paved trail at the water's edge from the South Shore to the North Shore where there is a restaurant with indoor/outdoor seating. It's monsoon season and the lake was full from all of the runoff. Birds-a-plenty on the water.
