I arrived in my 26ft TT after dark about 8p. Access was easy. There were a few other TTs already here, but I had plenty of space to open my slide out. Generators going in a few, but the noise wasn't bad. We didn't use the facilities.

We pulled in about 4:30p and were the only ones. I pulled over to the east edge so I could open my slide. Junkyard over the edge, and trash around the parameter but not IN the parking area. Nice and flat. I lowered my jack just enough to level out without unhooking. Truckers came in throughout the night, but I didn't hear a thing even with windows open for the breeze. (Evening was nice and cool). We ate in the restaurant. Clean, staff was super nice and food was good. It's expensive, though. 2 kid meals was $22 before the tip. I chose to eat a sandwich in the rv. All in all, not too bad for a free spot!

The limited fhu area is so cramped it's hard to want to sit outside. My only view is a huge class A. The number of feral cats is so bad and they use the gravel around my rv as their litter box. The mosquitoes are so bad (probably due to the nasty, green, lake water) that the citronella candle has no effect. The only "real" playground and the ONLY dog park is on the other side of the lake 3/4 of a mile around. Ranger Pat was very helpful but I haven't spoken to any others. Wifi is only in the lodge, but at least it's available there. Laundry room is TINY, but clean, as is the ladies room/showers.
I'll be back because I'm a TT member and it's the closest one to Redding (2.5 hrs away) but they have some improvements they should do.

The price is good, in comparison to other rv parks in Redding and it is on the lake. The residents (this rv park is almost all permanent) at this rv park are all pretty friendly. Unfortunately, you get what you pay for. It's pretty run down, but the few residentsibdid talk to said they were trying to "help the owner" by watering and do minor repairs. They allow dogs, but don't have a dog park area and all of the grassy areas have signs stating "not a dog area". The laundry, showers and bathrooms are all up stairs with no ramp available making it extremely difficult to haul laundry up with these old knees. And, unfortunately, not as clean as one would expect considering I went in right as the cleaning lady was leaving. (Even the pool has several steps up.) We arrived on Wed, left on Sunday and no one was in the office Thurs-Sun, not answering the phone or returning calls.
I would go back for the price and friendly people, but others need to know what to expect.
