If you want to feel welcome, this is your spot! The owner not only helped us figure out an issue with our RV but also gave us zip ties to amend it.
Everything else about the location was good but the service is over the top!

This KOA is clean and beautifully landscaped, new playground and lots of nice little touches. That being said, it is small and literally backs up to the 101. We lucked out because we got the last spot... a pull through where they had just added a fire pit and table. It is super cute. This spot had plenty of space but the others, especially on the exterior ring are really packed in and I heard one person complaining as I checked in that there was no room for his slide outs. Staff was super friendly and the place was spotless... so with limited space I think they’ve maximized their potential with the quality. Fine space to stay in as a pass through but it is a bit to the beach from that location. (If you do stay there check out Ontario Ridge Trail... it’s amazing hike just 10 minute walk away. Warning: It is steep! But the view is lovely and it oscilates from oak trees to open space along the ridge.) The 101 noise is a definite minus. It is much nicer than the hot springs RV park next door... that’s pretty much a dirt parking lot.

This is a cute, well maintained RV park literally just off Interstate 40 and about 10 minutes to the Meteor Crater with fully hookups and good cell reception (T-mobile). We arrived late.
LATE-NIGHT arrivals: Go past the entrance, past the gas station and there is a dirt road that will let you in the back way.
I’ve got no clue about the WiFi as the passcode was not on the site map. I’m sure they’d give it to you if you arrive during normal hours.

This campsite is lovely and just outside Idylwild. I cannot speak for the cleanliness as COVID has shut down mist the amenities here. There are a lot of fun activities including horseback riding. We will definitely have to return.
The one thing to mention is that these sites are all dirt and in now way flat. They allow you to drive around and choose your site which is great but quite a few are tricky to get into.... they definitely are far from the pull through sites. However, in return, most often you get a little more space.
It’s delightful here. We’ll definitely come back to explore.
The honey pot is available for those who need it and don’t have one of the very few full hookups.

We arrived late Into Quartzite. Most of the RV parks in this area look pretty run down and are closer to the freeway. There was still a bit of free way noise but then again there isn’t much between the freeway and the site. It’s a fine pass through with full hookups. Seemed to be one of the better kept parks in the area... we drove past quite a few.

This is a lovely, expansive campground boarding Lake Cachuma. The lake allows boats and fishing but no swimming, as it is a reservoir. There are boat rentals, a small restaurant, a general store and gas (no diesel). There are also lots of amenities like pool (closed for COVID) two dog parks, playgrounds and small hiking trails. The tent sites are the closets to the water and many would support a RV. Partial hookups are close with some water views while the full hookups are closest to the road and typical of RV parks. If you can dry camp take a tent site. They’re much better! There are three boat wash/ dump stations so if you need them there shouldn’t be much of a line, if any. Only draw back is that non tent sites are a bit packed and everything is dirt. Lovely spot, definitely would come back.
