We drove from Hazelrodt cutoff to Broken Arrow campground on 337/Glen Erin Rd.
Could only find one acceptable site, about 1.8 miles from Hazelrodt cutoff. (43.7252, -103,5384).
Can put just about any size rig that you have and pretty level.
Beautiful hiking thru the hills.
Very good road

Just spent 3 nights here, it made a good stop between St. Augustine and Panama City.
This was one of the only campgrounds in the general area that had sites available at this time of the year (Columbus day weekend and some areas closed because they are still recovering from Hurricane Michael). Also the snowbirds are migrating making it almost impossible to find anything reasonably close to a beach. But that was OK with us since we just came from Savannah and St. Augustine and headed to Panama City.
Very laid back campground nestled among 100 foot pine tress in the middle of a state forest preserve.
Sites have picnic tables and fire pits.
The host/caretaker welcomed us shortly after we arrived, you can get water there but not potable, no dump.

If you are still reading, this is the very important part of the review.

DO NOT TRY TO FIND THIS PLACE ON GOOGLE MAPS!!!!!!
EVEN THE DIRECTIONS FROM RESERVE AMERICA HAS A FLAW..
I'll start with reserve america flaw, in the know before you go, Directions it tells you to take county road 67 from US 98. Well CR 67 is not marked from either east or west from 98. You have to go to Tallahassee St. And go North, it turns to CR 67 in a few blocks. The rest of the direction is correct.
As far as Google maps is concerned. A total PIA, wound up in the forest around 25/30 miles in the wrong direction. The campground caretaker shared more frustrating stories about people getting there, some very humerus.

See attached photo for the accurate co coordinates. I checked it and they are on the money.

As others have stated, trains running pretty much all night long. Really didn't be too much of a problem.
Most of the sites that are next to the tracks are very tight, and should only be used for campers 20' or less.
Very fair prices on items at the convenience store. $1.50 for 10lbs of ice, gas was the best price I found in the area, doesn't show up on gas buddy.
WiFi connections were adequate.
Would stay here again!!

Pretty much ditto on Roger an Teddy previous review,
If you coming in from the north through Sedona, just several blocks past the police station, turn right on Dry Creek Rd. Follow to Boynton Pass, turn left to stop sign , turn left for about 1/4 mile and your there. (6 miles paved to cattle guard, 2 miles unpaved to last stop sign)
Some sights are pretty big, but uneven, smaller sights seemed more level.
I found that going into the tank was no problem, old barb wire gate at end of road.
We used Nolan as a base for day trips, Jerome etc.
For those who aren't into the hustle of downtown Sedona, check out Old Town Cottonwood, pleasant surprise.
Also read previous reviews if coming on 89A to 525, lots of sights closer to 89A, can be crowded and dusty

Easy in and out.
In process of upgrading utilities.
Water pressure was very high, be sure to use a regulator..
Only one hydrant for two sites, you'll need your splitter.

Only minor complaint would be, ground was covered with small burrs/stickers. Not the parks problem.
Would stay again.

If you like to be sardined in a campground this is not the place for you .
Those sites are farther north.
On our vist we enjoyed the closeness to the beach, great fishing, or just relaxing.
No hotels in or houses in sight.
The only quirk that I found was that if you have a camper/trailer, you will back in your site, that said, most all of the sites have the picnic table and bbq pit on the drivers side of your rig, customarily it would be on the passenger side. Not a big deal.

The only other wrinkle would be that when we arrived on a Sunday afternoon, the ranger on duty had no clue what he was doing.

I asked the ranger about filling our water holding tank. I was emphatically told there's no water in the campground available, I would have to go to a commercial campground out of the park or travel 25 miles north to get my water. REALLY NOW??
However, not knowing any better, we traveled out of Frisco and went 7 miles north on 12 and turned to the hatteras light house. [Take Lighthouse road, go 1.5 miles and on the left there will be a free dump station and water, no need to even go into the campground) Great find!
When we arrived back at the campground, we drove to our site to find there is fresh water available at all of the shower/ restroom facilities.
Thank God the campground and beauty of the OBX overshadowed the the events of the day.
It was wine thirty, enjoy!

Great location, easy drive to Napa and Sonoma day trips.
The only thing I found disturbing, sign at entrance will say "campground full",
Only to find out in the am, that out of the 47 sites 27 were empty.
Try calling for available sites
Familiar story over and over

Some clarification needed here, Terry canyon is located on the east of route 35, you will have to go through a gate and travel a gravel road, you can safely travel about a mile until you come to an abandoned cattle corral and a windmill. Not advisable with any rig, did not see any fire pits or evidence of dispersed camping. There will be another fence to go through,Would be great for tent camping, not a soul to be found.

However if you go west you will see a cattle guard and a sign for "free woodchips" . This area is what is called Comfort Well. This is according to the USGS maps and the park rangers at the ranger station at the 11 mile marker.

Once you go over the cattle guard the first 100 yards is a bit rough in spots, just go slow and you shouldn't have any issues. At about a quarter mile you have reached one of the most beautiful camping spots to be found in this area of New Mexico. This area is believed to be the go to camping area for the locals. The area is popular with horse people and atv's, but everyone was respectful of you camping space.

When we were there there were class A's, 5ers, TT's.

In regards to cells service, we couldn't get anything with TMoble or Verizon, but you can go south 4 miles to the continental divide and get 3 bars. There is a safe pull off area.

Get full service at the ranger station at the 11 mile marker.
