Took my family here on a recent tip to Asheville. There was a line when we arrived… seems like there’s always a line but it was only a 10 minute wait or so. The staff was courteous and efficient.

We got a salted caramel brownie and a chocolate dipped peanut butter cookie. Both were excellent. Additionally, my kids got hot chocolate, I got a mocha, and my husband got a brevé. The sweets were more of a hit with us than our drinks.

It was crowded when we visited. If you can find a less busy time to come, I think it would be a lovely place to spend time. In general, it’s probably more geared towards adults than families with young kids.

All in all, I’m glad we went because I had wanted to visit on another trip but had not because of the line. It’s worth a visit. (Next on my wish list is to take their chocolate making your at their factory located 5 minutes from their store.)

The Courtyard is centrally located to the Tennessee Aquarium and The Children’s Museum. The location walkable to lots of tourist places and restaurants.

The hotel itself is fine overall. We had a few glitches with our hotel key card and our tv didn’t work. Parking is located in the deck next door. It is a bit pricey at $18/night.

We don’t usually care about the snack bar but it was storming our first night. It could be better stocked and they have Pepsi not Coke products.
