I liked this campground because it was quiet and was in close to proximity to Shark Valley for the Everglades and a nice jump off point for activities in Big Cypress National Preserve. I was in site 13 and there is very little shade at this site. However, it is on the very end so it is very private. The site was clean and spacious. The bathrooms were pretty clean. There was not a campground host, but NPS workers checked with me to make sure that I was the one that had actually reserved the site. Sunday night the park was about half full and Monday and Tuesday only about 1/3 full. Overall, a very nice spot.

The park is located just off of a busy thoroughfare, which leads to a lot of road noise. The sites are fairly big and shaded, however there is not really any privacy between sites. The combination of road noise and lack of privacy are the reasons that I probably will not be back. The trails are well maintained and the bathrooms were very clean. The spring is pretty and there's a nice little boardwalk nearby.

The water was murky, so not really good for swimming, but the kayak path The sites are wide and include a grill and picnic table. The bathrooms and showers were very clean. There are a lot of bugs, so bug spray is a must. The only issue I had was that electric box at my site kept tripping. I have a tiny camper and only had the AC hooked up. I'm not sure if it was due to the storms or an issue with that specific site.

The site that I had was perfect. There was a nice shade tree, fire ring, and picnic table. The bathrooms/showers were very clean. The trails that I walked were well kept, but I would suggest using the All Trails maps bc the markings weren't always clear. They also have horseback riding, kayaking, and fishing. Overall a really great park and I look forward to returning!
