We have a 28 ft Airstream and our site, #71, was large enough. Beautiful views of the mountains, sheep and cows were wonderful to hear, and it’s very close to the Luray Caverns and Shenandoah National Park. We camped in late March so there were no crowds to speak of, and I can’t speak to the pool or bath houses, but the park is clean and in a very bucolic area.

This place is not for relaxing. It’s loud because the freeway is literally next to the campground. The noise is pretty bad but if you’re running the heat, like we were, you don’t hear it as much.

You are 30 minutes from Washington DC! This place is for staying near the attractions of the area, going and doing things in the surrounding area. They have a shuttle service so you don’t even have to venture into the city with your car and deal with parking.

The staff are very friendly, the store is well-stocked with just about anything you’d need, and if you need a day away from site seeing, you can chill at their pools or get your laundry done.

Campground was fully booked for the holiday weekend, which is understandable. What we did not expect we’re all the golf carts, gators, and can ams CONSTANTLY on the roads. If you are looking for quiet neighbors who adhere to decorum, who know they shouldn’t burn garbage, and who simply realize that we are all just feet away from each other, do not come here. If, on the other hand you enjoy being outnumbered by bikes, golf carts, electric scooters, and motorcycles, if you need your children to disappear and run unsupervised way past dark, and you like being packed in like sardines, this place is for you. We are leaving a day early, it’s that chaotic all day long. Also, we supposedly have 1 of 4 “super sites”. I was told we’d have 50amp, water, sewer, a patio, and cable. We have all the utilities except for cable, the “patio” is a nasty, small slab of concrete. The site is so eroded that our Anderson levelers sank into the sand, we had to make up for 5 inches on one side. A nice staff person brought us some wood boards that did the trick. For almost $100/night, the site should be level and pristine.

It’s nice to find a full service campground open this early in the year. We were grateful for full hook ups and a pull through site.
