What’s to say….it was clean, with decent signage from the main drag in Antigo to the RV park where this is located. Easy in/out and non-potable water right there. $10 for non-campers with pay envelopes provided.

Just a lovely park. I was at Site L90 for 2 nights mid-week. My advice would be to pick any site besides 90 and 91 as they back up to each other and there’s only small, recently planted trees/shrubs between the sites. I picked the site for its proximity to the water (and last minute availability) and that was definitely a plus. I was able to carry my kayak down to the adjacent small beach and launch each day. In the other loop of the Lodge campground, tho not shown on the campground or park maps, there’s actually a small dock for canoes/kayaks and next time I’ll probably opt for that loop if sites are available.

Bathrooms/showers were clean and well maintained and tho not as new as the facilities at the Chase Pt Campground, were more than adequate.

Stayed one night as I was driving through the area. I had reserved a site on the creek and got a call on the day of checkin asking if they could change my site due to the fact that there was a large group camping in that particular area of the campground and it might be loud for me. As it turned out I was given a much quieter spot and really appreciated the initiative and thoughtfulness. My site was clean, and it’s peaceful there with a lot of birds and a nice little creek. Now for a few cons: The sites are very close together, the road to the camp is pretty danged narrow and the roads IN the camp are even narrower. I did fine with a pickup camper but wouldn’t recommend it for a large trailer or a Class A.

I was looking for a safe, quiet spot for one night while on the turnpike and this fit the bill. Got there after dark without a reservation but the cell number provided on the sign for check in was answered by a very helpful, kind manager who set me up with a site in no time. I was a little concerned as there was a group hanging out outside a few spots away but they quieted down long before quiet hours. Most of the campers appeared to be long term folks and a lot of them got up early for work but were quiet about that as well.

One down side was signage was nonexistent until you got right to the entrance and even then it was tough to spot in the dark on a hill/curve. GPS worked…just go slow on the road.

Not a bad spot for one night. I was driving through and was willing to pay for a spot in order to get a quieter night that a rest area or wallyworld but that was only partly successful. I stayed at site 10 which is electric w a view of the lake. The bathrooms were clean and there’s also laundry facilities in the same building which I didn’t use but that area looked clean and well maintained as well. As mentioned in other reviews, the signage to get to the park is pretty much nonexistent. Without GPS i wouldn’t have found it. Like a lot of turns with maybe every 3rd or 4th turn having at most a small, faded sign. For a weekday in November there was a ridiculous amount of traffic after 10p including loud cars rolling through at 3-4 a.m. There were only a few sites occupied in my loop so these weren’t fellow campers, just random people cruising through well after closing time. If I was gonna be driving through the area again I’d probably try the Clark county fairgrounds instead. I picked the state park thinking there’d be some sort of security or oversight but I never saw any indication of an on-site presence by park staff which given the remote area wasn’t that comforting.

We stayed at the tent sites (site 96) for one night. The tent area is immediately past the check in station/store as you enter the campground area. From that area there’s no path or even a road shoulder to walk to the shower/bathroom building which is past the dump station/fish cleaning house, and entrance to first electric loop. Not a big deal during daylight hours but after dark we were left walking on an unlit road to use the restrooms. We were there on a Saturday night and were the only tent site occupied with the exception of an obviously homeless guy complete with his shopping cart. His site didn’t have a reserved sign which led us to believe he was just squatting for the night. We didn’t have any issues but it made us a little concerned for safety as we never did see anyone patrolling our area of camp. Shower area was nice. Women’s bath had two sinks, one of which was plugged up with muddy water and debris the entire time we were there.
