Nice little park near Winterset IA. Water and power hookups, but shared between sites, so we were lucky to have enough hose and extension to hookup.

2 Sections - one with lots of trees, one flat and open. On the tree section we were in, odd numbered sites were NOT very level - we could not get to level despite having front wheels in the air... Sites varied in length, mine could have taken a 45 footer, the one next to me would have been tight with 30...

Great access to winterset, lots of county parks and the bridges of madison county....

12"6' bridge and 90' corner at entry, manageable, but be careful :D.

Visit Bakery Unlimited in Winterset - best donuts i've probably had, and i've had a lot of donuts...

Ask yourself this question... Why are you here? Not to be all philosophical, but the reason you are here is the beach :D. If you come to somewhere expecting a private site with nice sitting area - look elsewhere. The sites are big enough, it's full hookup at a great price. As others have said - they have no shade, etc. They have planted some trees that I'm sure will be nice in 10-15 years....

Signage into the park is poor - we arrived in the dark and took a little to work out where the entrance was :D. Great fun with the toad!

Site not level - but not far enough off to be a concern. Great hookups. Very close to the beach, marina, walks, etc. Easy drive to all the tourist spots.

Pro tip: Frank and Louie's Italian Specialties in Rehoboth - amazing sandwiches. Maybe the best I've had in the USA. Just go there :D.

Decent campground outside Grand Marais, MN. Great location. A large campground, but they hide it decently - you are still close to others though. There is a town shared hall and baseball field in the campground space, so can be noisy...

Also, looking around, level is *not* something they offer. Be prepared to work to get level!

Staff super nice as well. 5 Star was missed due to poor level and noise at times...

Stayed here overnight - 20 sites, half gravel half grass. Electric hookup only with a shared water Spigot, no dump. Quiet enough - you can hear the interstate, but with the aircon on... Next to a bunch of sports fields, not sure how it would be with a baseball game on and all the lights!

If the place was full it would be very tight, most people using the site next to them to park cars, etc. Perfect for an overnight stop when its just too warm to boondock comfortably...

Great little state park to visit, lots of walking trails around and nice views. Towns and other activities close by, but it was easy for us to spend 4 days here.

Sites not super far apart, no water\sewer at sites, only electric. Shower\toilet block fine, but wasn't heated when we were there - we have our own shower, but it was chilly for folks using it!

Some sites quite tight to back in, ours had two trees either side, very close, and was interesting to get in and out of (twice). Though some sites had 35"+ trailers and RVs, so i guess ask before you pick :D

We went in early November, great place with nice hiking and close to the river. Hunting in season. Park has 200+ sites and there were maybe 5 taken while we were there - I can't imagine this place on a holiday weekend! Only power hookup, but water and dump available. Close to all the local towns and lots to do nearby. Well worth the visit.

Note - many sites NOT level. Bring lots of levelling blocks :D. some really awesome sites though, backing onto large private spaces... Cell service very spotty due to being basically it's own valley.

Great little spot. As others have said, active train line and 84 behind :D. With aircon's on, we could barely here - if you are tenting, that will be a different story (I also don't mind trains...)

Would have stayed longer if there was a vacancy.

NO DUMP. Be prepared :D. The parks either side have one, but Viento does not. Host super helpful; good location on the gorge.

Site was super level as well.
