Stayed here in late July for an overnight stop. Needed an RV site with power due to heat. Desert Rose RV Park provided just what we needed. Easy to get to location off 80, nice pull thru site with friendly staff.
Bathroom/shower house was very clean and well kept and appeared to be updated recently. Stayed hitched up on the concrete pad that was pretty level. Slept well and got off early the next morning with no issues. Would stay here again.

Stayed here in mid May. There are two loops, one on the right encircles a beautiful meadow. Normally I prefer the exterior sites, but the sites at this campground loop are so well spaced and the meadow was so gorgeous that we chose an interior site with our dinette view of this lovely sun drenched, wild flower filled view. The south fork of the Stanislaus River runs right next to the CG. If you camp near it expect to have an audible presence. However site 11 on the other side provided the gentle background sound of rushing water. A nice day hike out of this loop provides a gentle meandering stroll along the river with majestic granite. Nearby is Strawberry Grade trail, an old mining railroad right of way. No signs of the railroad but made for a wonderful bike ride. Joe the camp host was awesome. Very welcoming and was able to answer a few general questions. He also does a terrific job keeping the pit toilet buildings very clean and the sweetest smelling pit toilets I have ever been in! Overall a wonderful place to hang out, fish, hike or just plain relax in the beauty of the sierras. Cell service is very weak. Weather was great with mid 40's overnight and high 70's during the day. The sites by 11 are all full sun. Great for solar, didn't need to break out the generator, and it being late spring no problem with heat. I suspect that the shaded sites in the summer months would be preferable.

We stayed in Silvertip CG over the fourth of July holiday period, Friday thru Wednesday. We were in site 15 which is an interior location on the loop. It is a huge site with several fallen trees that extend through the campsite. Water spigot right at the spur so expect to see neighbors. The area is gorgeous. We had hoped to get into a site in West shore that is right next to Lake Alpine but Silvertip proved to be a good location. There is a wonderful 1 mile trail to lake Alpine that comes out by the day use area in the southern section. The lake is a beautiful high mountain setting. Did some kayaking and plenty of hiking, Inspiration point and Duck lake to name a few. Mixed bag on cell, weak at best. Campsites are a mix of small spurs for tent campers and longer spurs for RV’s. I have a 20’ trailer and would have fit into many of the spurs. Older bathrooms with flush toilets. No showers, but they are available for a fee from Lake Alpine resort just up the road. The resort also has a small store but no produce. Had a few nights with some noisy neighbors (music and loud talking) but the camp host was aware of it and made his presence known. After that it was quiet and peaceful.
