We are at the beginning of a 3 month trek and this was our first stop where we were staying a while. The campground was pretty hilly, but even with us being a newbie, it was easy to navigate. It is always nice to have the escort to your site! Our site was at the bottom of a hill, which was fun for the kids on their scooters! We were closest to the highway, so at times there was a bit of street noise, but we didn’t notice it much! Site was well maintained, we kept pretty busy, so didn’t have a chance to go to the pool and didn’t discover the playground until our last night. It was close to downtown and the National Park. We were very lucky to have great neighbors!
WiFi was a bit shotty, tethering to AT&T phone was at times better.

We had trials and tribulations all day on the drive so we pulled in after 10 pm. We drove on a small road through hills, so thought it was very far out of the way, but then found it was right off a major highway... we will fault WAZE for that! We were happy to find there was no gate and we found a pull-through spot easily, hooked up in a blink and were asleep within 20 minutes after pulling in! In the morning, walking the dog was a pleasant surprise... there a couple small lakes, residents that all politely said “good morning” when walking by. Restrooms at the bath house were on, but not great. The office closed at 5 and is also closed on Saturday and Sundays. We called ahead and they took our card, but said they would charge it the morning after departure. Since we came in LATE and left on a day they were closed, I wonder if we will get charged. And swinging bridge? We were not unhooking our call to go find it, so we missed the main attraction!
