Close to small town 1/4 mile away couple of restaurants and cute old buildings. I pulled off I 70 due to heavy rain and this site is about 4 miles south easy to access. $8 self-pay no reservation. $6 off-season. Part of a community center with playground, disc golf, courts. Restrooms were locked when I was there. Three sites in a row with picnic tables, shelter, barbecue. very quiet at night there is a train nearby but it only heard in the evening in the morning.
Great overnight stop driving the cascade loop. I arrived in time to go into the city offices, they were helpful and friendly. There seems to be two locations: one is to just park along the street next to the park, where there are restrooms. (Great bakery/restaurant) I parked further down with picnic tables right by the river. At this location there's free showers and a restroom which look clean. There are two locations with envelopes to pay next to both restrooms. It's an open area with different businesses, there was one tenter and two vehicles dry camping.
There is another campsite off Houston Mesa Road - opposite the privatized campsite. Called Equestrian Campsite - has sites for without horses. $20 per night - I paid $10 with Lifetime Pass. Large flat, well maintained sites with water, flush toilets and trash. Beautiful trees and vegetation, easy access and location close to town. Would stay again.

I spent one month here in my Ford Transit campervan from late April to late May 2022. It was partly to visit friends in the area but also to save on gas prices. I really enjoyed my stay! The rate was $550 for the month I'm not sure of the daily rate. I had a lovely grassy spot with picnic table, fire ring, some bushes for privacy and access to water and the bathrooms. It is a very organized and well-run campground it was peaceful and I felt safe and at home there. It is mostly long term residents and some families and I enjoyed the mix. Water is from a well with an excellent filtration system showers and bathrooms are clean with lots of hot water. WiFi is good cell service abit weak outside the center of Fort Bragg

Stayed one night on my journey from west to east coast a few miles off I 70. There are 10 primitive sites which cost $12 and water/electric sites (about 50) cost $25. There is a two dollar reservation fee on the website. However link from Campendium site is not correct and I did not book online first. There is a reservation hut at entry to site and people were friendly and helpful.
www.vigaparks.org to book for 3 different campgrounds in the area. Fowler Park, Hawthorn Park and Prairie Creek Park. Sites are close together but lots of lovely tree coverage, two lakes with a variety of activities. Busy at weekends, showers (didn’t use) restrooms and some vault toilets. Sorry I forgot to take photos😊

Great location, facilities decent and clean. Tent sites have more selection than RVs. Rangers very helpful.
Fees in Massachusetts State parks are more than three times higher for out of state folks!! $17 in state $54 out of state
Campground was almost empty during the week and just visitors who are going to local events and are from in-state at the weekends. Also $4.50 booking fee.

I paid $20 for 8 PM to 8 AM. There are two large lots the back one is flatter than the large closer one. They do check you have to pay. There are restrooms. There was plenty of when I stayed in February not sure about weekends all summer. There was some drama generator noise from larger RVs.
Correction - $20 per night, $15 per day and some reductions for longer stays. Nights are 8pm - 4am but grace period until 8am.
