Area littered with trash and spent firearm cartridges, but doesn’t have an unsafe feel to it. Military jets continually fly overhead and are fairly loud. If that bothered you. No campfires allowed. Strong AT&T cell service. If you’re just passing through and are looking for a free place to overnight, this is fine. As another poster mentioned, when you hit the Y in the road, make a left. Numerous places to camp, easy to find.

This is a very typical KOA. nothing fancy, but checked all the boxes. Level gravel sites, basketball hoop,, horseshoe area, designated pet run, kids play area, etc. Super nice people. Stores and restaurants within walking distance. Nice if you want to leave your rig hooked up and in place.

AT&T cell service was perfectly fine. No problem streaming. Wi-Fi was available, but didn’t connect straight away. I suspect it wouldn’t be a problem, I just didn’t mess with it since AT&T signal was strong enough for me.

The shower was clean as were the restrooms.

The only negatives were, the laundry room was closed for the winter, as was the area to wash dishes. If you need the laundry room, I would call ahead and see if it’s reopened.

Two night minimum. Campground is approximately 20 minutes off Interstate 10. GPS may indicate it’s about an hour off of the interstate, but that’s not the case. The 7 mile dirt road is clearly marked with intermittent signs directing you to the ranch campground. No AT&T cell service, but the campground does have included Wi-Fi. They request no streaming as they fear it will crash their system. Sites are large enough for large RV’s and the road for large RVs is just fine. No worries there. Despite being a ranch, the sites are unfortunately close together with no privacy. They are even, flat, well groomed, and very clean sites with full hook ups. Owners are super nice and the rates are low. Although I was disappointed with the space between sites, I’m giving it a five star review because of the low rates, hospitality, full hook-ups, and cleanliness.

-Expansive campsite with three loops. There didn’t seem to be a difference in the loops.
-This might be the quietest campground I’ve ever stayed in.
-Free stay up to 14 days with a fishing or hunting license. My in-state Colorado annual fishing license was $42.
-Each campsite has an electrical hook up, picnic table, campfire ring, and shade structure over the picnic table.
-Don’t plan on fishing the lake. It was very low & too muddy to reach fishable water.
-The road leading in it is fine for any size rig.
-AT&T cell service was in and out, but I was able to stream video at times. If you have AT&T, simply drive around the different loops until you have good service. Even though the entire campsite spans only a few hundred yards, there is a big difference in signal.

At the time of this review, we are in the midst of COVID-19. I was concerned I wasn’t going to be able to secure a campsite, but there are several in the Dutch John / Flaming Gorge area with numerous vacancies. You should not have any problem during this period.

Nice campground and well groomed and maintained. There are clean restrooms, I walked and drove around the grounds and it appears as though site number 12 & 14 are the best in terms of privacy along with a nice mix of shade for relaxation and solar for a charge. For site #12, I would not go longer than a 20 foot travel trailer plus your vehicle. Other sites accommodated longer RV’s.

Generators are permitted until 10 PM. Unfortunately, we had two sets of folks that ran their generator until the very last minute. Way too late in my opinion. The road is reasonably close and you can hear some traffic, but it’s not a highly traveled road and therefore, barely worth mentioning.

My cell phone carrier is AT&T and although I’m only displaying two-three bars, I was able to stream video.

I traveled Highway 318 & 191 which was mostly asphalt with some dirt. With the exception of a few miles where you needed to take it a little slower, any size rig would be just fine. I took it a little faster than I probably should’ve and a few of my cabinets threw up on the floor.

I floated the Green River with a local guide and had an awesome time. Wade fishing on your own is a lot of fun also. It’s August and we threw nothing but big dries with a smaller trailer fly. If you’re nymphing, go small.

This is a stunning area and worth visiting.

This is a free BLM campsite. Each site is complete with a picnic table with canopy, barbecue area, and separate campfire ring. There is also a small building with a vault toilet and trash bins. There are approximately 10 sites, so you’re not guaranteed to get a space, but I would choose this as a primary and then have a secondary location available just in case.

I was in space number 6; which is at the very top of the loop. I have AT&T and this seemed to be just about the only site I could get a decent signal. I was able to stream a movie with only occasional interruptions.

Some spots are back in, such as space number 6, while others are pull through. there are a few spots that will accommodate larger rigs, but you will have no problem getting in and out around the loop even if you have a big set up such as a motorhome, fifth wheel, with a car in tow.

Others mentioned a big dip in the road leading to the campground. I see it as being insignificant. I was only pulling a 17 foot travel trailer, but even a substantially larger RV should easily traverse that dip. However, with that said, that’s just my opinion simply eyeballing it.

The only potentially negative comment I could make about this campground is that most sites do not appear to be very level. Just be prepared.

Worth staying here for sure, consider dropping a few dollars into the donation box at the entrance/exit. Nice to have an option like this.

Very nice campground and very well-maintained. AT&T cell service was suitable for email and web browsing. Streaming was a bit spotty. It was $9 for the park entrance fee in addition to the $36 campsite fee. Very peaceful and worth your stay.

Great place to be in the winter and I go every year. Although is review is for American Girl Mine Road, you can go pretty much anywhere and it's all the same. It's all open and never crowded. AT&T cell service is outstanding. Streaming videos, no problem.

Enjoy the outstanding sunrises and sunsets. Campfires in the desert at night are fantastic. I've had a fox come visit one night. It can get fairly windy, so keep that in mind. Don't think I've ever been bitten by mosquitoes.

To Do:
-Go into Yuma and attend the car races at Cocopah Speedway. Bring a heavy jacket as it gets cold at night in the winter. Super fun.
-Mountain biking is great. A few hills and lots of arroyos to traverse and jump.
-Downtown Yuma has some great little shops and restaurants.
-Go to Del Sol Market in Yuma and get the BEST, freshest corn tortillas. That market also has a coin operated, pay by gallon, fresh drinking water station in the parking lot. .75 cents per 5 gallons.

Otherwise, there isn't much to do, but chill out and relax.

Each individual campsite is huge. Lots of room for larger RVs. Each site has a fire ring and a nice table with shelter. AT&T cell service was OK, certainly good enough to browse website and send emails. Streaming was spotty at times. 20 minutes into the nearest town with everything you need, and half that distance to the Laughlin casinos, restaurants, etc.
