We always love when Walmart’s allow overnight stays and this one is no exception! We called ahead to ensure our stay was permitted and the manager said a single night was okay. The lot is enormous with trees here and there and there are signs saying “cameras in use” so we felt very safe.
Idk how the people who just reviewed Cracker Barrel stayed overnight...there’s a sign that says no overnight parking. I went in to double check and they confirmed that they had changed their policy recently (8/7/20).
Very convenient, two lanes. No potable water and no tank flush, just a rinsing hose. $5 donation. Plenty of room for rigs of all sizes.

We thought about staying at the Cracker Barrel, but on a hot and incredibly humid night we knew we needed air conditioning. The casino had super affordable sites with hookups (half the price of a KOA) so we jumped on it.
It was clean, easy to access, and the site was super level. Worth every penny!

Very convenient dump station and potable water. $10 suggested donation. Enormous parking lot so easy access for every rig. Open 24hrs!
So nice to be in a state where you can actually use the rest areas to rest for the night! What a concept! Some highway noise at night, to be expected. Clean, spacious, would stay again if passing through.

It was perfectly situated and perfectly quiet. Would definitely stop again for the night. And definitely check out Anong’s Thai in Rawlins for dinner! Yum!
No service though.

It actually it pretty nice there. Decent amount of spots. Clear water. Relatively quiet during weeknights. HOWEVER: the weekends attract the most inconsiderate campers you’ve ever come across. Loud generators, loud music late into the night, bright lights, and litter everywhere! Somebody next to us left their broken canopy behind! Just left the heap of metal! And there was used toilet paper down by the water! We picked up as much trash as we could around our site, but it would’ve been a whole day’s endeavor to pick up everything we saw.
And then there’s the wind, which we knew about going in, but it truly is relentless. You might get a couple hours of calm in the morning, but the rest of the day can be nuts. One day we experienced 70mph winds out of nowhere and it trashed our trailer inside and out. At least the wind meant there weren’t any tiny green midge flies though. They’re harmless but small enough to fit through the screens.
It IS pretty though. And it’s free. However, I wouldn’t mind paying $10/night if it meant a camp host would be around to control generator use, noise into the late evening, and the litter issue.
