Long pull-through sites with nice tree coverage. We couldn’t get satellite service (see comment about trees), but the campground’s super fast free Wi-Fi is a better choice. The surrounding area is beautiful and a nice farm stand is a short walk away.

This is one of our favorite campgrounds in the country. Huge sites, impeccably maintained, quiet refuge from the city. Easy access to the French Quarter via the ferry. We were here for Mardi Gras on this trip and loved the ability to see all the fun while being able to retreat to this lovely park in the evening.

Drive the twenty minutes to Algiers Point, park on street or in the open pay lot nearby. Ferries run on the half and quarters and are a quick ten minute trip across. Bring your bike or dog along to explore the city (no cars).

Nice park, reasonably large sites, bathhouses were modern and immaculate. Electric and water are a treat in a national park. Loved the sites to see inside the park.

We had a couple issues which keep this from being s 10. First, distance to other area attractions off the peninsula is longer than we'd like. More importantly, the site lengths are challenging. We saw only a couple sites that could accommodate a 40' RV. Tree heights are not trimmed well for taller rigs. We managed to avoid tree damage because we have a lot of experience towing, but we saw several RVs with damage from the overhead trees. Loops B through E are better in this regard, but the sites are shorter and harder to back into.
