We stayed one night as it seems a fine option compared to what else is available in this area. The no cost was awesome and it was clean and very safe feeling. Other Rv/camper vans present and there’s a clear protocol to follow to get checked in. They’ll give you a tag and a players card with a small amount of $ in it for you to spend. As far as overnight parking lot stays go (this is out first) this one is 5 stars.

We spent several nights here in March and loved it. We were at site 42 (thanks to someone here’s recommendation) it was the best site because there was no one on one side and the view of the ocean was spectacular. There are trails all over that allow you to explore the incredible coastline, whales spouting and seals playing in the bay. The town is just a 5 min walk or bike ride so it’s very easy to explore. There a restaurant 2 mins walk where we are and ordered dessert one night too. The showers are simple but clean and we had them to our self. The other sites are a bit tight but overall the ocean views and cliff access, along with proximity to town made it excellent.

We ended up staying here for 2 weeks. There was a 20% off spring sale so was 35$ for ele/water, other sights were slightly more with f/h. Showers were .50 for 5 minutes and hot enough. They were cleaned daily which was nice too. We had zero coverage but they had excellent wifi.

Trinidad is a tiny town very very safe feeling. I rode my bike there a few times, good coffee and epic beaches to explore the wildlife. Just 15 min drive to the bigger towns. This was an excellent place to stay.

The freeway noise was noticeable but not too bad.

We had campsite 40 and it was just at the entrance. The area outside was sort of uncomfortable and not very pretty. Showers were token, 2 minutes for .50 cents however took a full two minutes to get to the top temp of almost lukewarm. That was disappointing. Overall was ok for a night or two. 20 minute drive to Malibu. There was zero service however Cali parks has free wifi, which was available about 100 yards down the road. Helpful for quick check ins.
