This is a great little place to stop on 65! We are in a 44 ft motorhome so the choices are pretty limited heading to Mobile. We actually only stopped for one night but then had to drive back there because another campground clearly didn't understand what big rig access meant. The first night we had some engine issues that put us after hours. Trying to call and ask if they had space was a little challenging as the people answering the phones are in a very loud casino. We just ended up driving up. After-hours you have to check in at hotel reservations inside the casino. Fairly easy process, they do charge a $50 deposit to be returned on checkout. RV Park is on the very back side of the casino, super easy to get into, great hookups. It was fairly quiet, there is a busy road behind the park though, didn't bother us at all though. The second night when we had to return we went straight to the park and the kind man asked me about Good Sam membership and also didn't charge me another deposit so it was cheaper than the first night! We walked to the casino and actually got dinner and played slots for a bit. It was pretty fun!

We stopped here overnight from Ft. Myers back to Talladega AL after purchasing our motorhome. We were waiting out some storms that swept across the southeast last week. We came in on a Wednesday evening. I called to inquire about availability and the lady that answered was very kind. Very easy to get in even in our 44 ft. from I-10. Super friendly when we arrived and gave us a 10% Good Sam discount. We actually ended up getting their largest site(which was site #1) and it was a pull through. The roads were gravel/dirt but packed very well. Didn't really bother us for overnight stay but voltage read low on the pedestal for 50A on our surge protector. Lots of kids playing and families enjoying themselves. I have to say they have the LARGEST and NICEST fenced dog area of any place I've ever seen! ATT service was great, didn't have any problems. We enjoyed it and will stay here overnight again for sure.

First of all, I really can't believe there are no other reviews on this resort. The kind broker who helped us purchase our Dutch Star set us up a couple of nights here so she could go over our new to us coach and also instruct my husband how to drive. We arrived and were near the front of the resort(i believe site 364). The grounds were extremely neat and beautifully kept. Lots of class A's and fifth wheels in the front area. The front sites are all pretty much in the sun, which was not a problem for us as we were escaping cool temps! Our site was very level and fully paved with a picnic table. There were lots of snowbirds still there and it was very clear they were all having a wonderful time! Everyone was so very friendly and even reported that this wasn't a "stuffy" motorhome resort. They have a nice swimming pool, bocce, pickleball, shuffleboard, etc and noted a full itinerary that was given at check in. We were sorry we couldn't partake in some fun activities! The river flows right up through the park models that are at the other end of the park. While we were there, we saw signs for "fresh strawberries" one day and "fresh tomatoes." I think they also have food trucks there sometimes too. We attempted to walk to the BBQ/Wings place right down the street but the wait was very long so apparently it is very good! We never could get connected to the Wifi but we weren't there long enough to worry about it, our ATT was great. We will definitely keep this in mind again when we are in the Ft Myers area, very easy to jump on I 75 N.

We stayed here for 2 nights during the week in site 23 in out 44 ft motorhome. It was a super easy drive off of I 65 to get to the park from where we store our RV in Calera. You do travel down a narrow 2 lane country road to get to the park. Check in was easy, they had our hang tag ready when we arrived. No one had previously been in our site so we were able to check in around 1. (Note: checkout is not until 3). The roughest part of the whole trip was trying to find our campsite! There are NO signs anywhere even site signs and the only map you see is when you are checking in which was not very helpful. We started down and quickly realized we needed to park the motorhome and drive to find the site. We parked the motorhome in the boat launch parking lot. Unless you know where you are going, I highly advise this, especially if you are big rig. The roads are 2 way so you kind of have to figure out which way you have to come in to be able to back into your site. There are some pull through sites also. We were on the Catawba loop which was full hookups. We did have to tie several branches back as we were getting into the site to keep them off our roof, but not all the sites were this wooded and I imagine not everyone's height is 13 ft. We were not on the water directly but there are lots of waterfront sites. The sites here are HUGE and super long and all that we say on this loop were paved. I had to work some and even though my ATT only had 2 bars, I was able to use my hotspot and be on Webex calls and had no problem getting service to do work. We didn't use any of the bathhouses while we were there. We did walk down one trail to the water and they had not emptied the trash and there was trash everywhere on the ground but overall the park was beautiful and groomed nicely. It was very quiet, just what we wanted, even though the park was almost full. There is definitely not much around it so I would buy groceries prior to coming in. There is a Dollar General that is super close though for other random needs. We really liked it here and will definitely be coming back.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR LARGE MOTORHOME DOWN THESE ROADS!! First of all getting someone to answer the phone to ask about reservations was hard, when we did get him to answer he said they had sites for large motorhomes. They only except cash and also require a $40 deposit to be returned on check out. We drove an hour south from where we were to get closer to Mobile. The trees are completely unkept and very low before you even get to the park. We are 13'9" so we are pretty tall. When we got there the man looked out the window and used a few choice words for the size of our rig. He immediately said he didn't think we could fit but he wanted us to drive our car in to see. The trees within the campground were also not trimmed and very low. The roads are narrow and there was no way we were fitting. So we had to leave and fight the trees outside the park again to get back to 65. Next time when we ask about a large motorhome, I'll ask will a semi truck fit!! Can't say much else about the place we immediately left, but the sites looked very shaded, would probably be nice for smaller RVs.
