Beautifully maintained campground. Playground for kids. Each campground has a personal fire pit and there is a large pavilion with a fireplace and grill. Every spot is a pull through spot with 30/50a hookups. Very friendly staff

The campground was built in 2022 or 2021 and is very modern, clean, and nice.

Site 43 was slightly off level from side-to-side, but it was correctable.

Campground staff are very friendly and helpful. Everything can be done by phone without a need to go to the visitors' center, including kayak rentals.

The campground is not as close to the water as the map might suggest, maybe a half mile. You will not see water from your site, but there is a good bit of shade and it is peaceful.

AT&T was in-and-out for both voice and data.
T-Mobile data was 4G, no 5G, but my mobile hotspot worked fine from the camper for video calls.

I could rave about this place, it's that good. I have camped in two different spots here and both were level and clean. 50/30a hookups, sewer, water, and great views.

There are a few RV camp areas, but DeRoche Ridge is the place to be. It is a peninsula into the lake and almost every site is on the water with a great view.

This is a resort State Park, so Arkansas pulls out all the stops. There is a lodge with a restaurant, a marina with everything from kayaks to pontoons for rent, a golf course, horseback riding, and a plethora of nature events lead by park staff for those with kids. The staff is super friendly and my daughter loves Ranger Rae, who leads snake encounters and night animal expeditions.

AT&T was usable in both sites I've stayed in. I got 4G, not 5G, but was able to work multiple days through video calls without issue. My T-Mobile hotspot was in-and-out.

Like most Arkansas state parks, the staff is excellent. They are friendly, helpful, have a direct phone number, and are present.

Trails are nice, shaded, and you can get 3.5-4mi out of them if you pick your route well. There is a sandy beach for the kids and a swimming area. There are also kayak and boat rentals on both nearby lakes. The woods, hills, and surrounding area are beautiful. Lots of good nature.

The campground is older and lacks sewage. The bath house is clean and regularly maintained, but dated.

RV spots are short, narrow, and some are off level. I cannot fit my 23' trailer and tow vehicle fully in my site. There also isn't much space to park the tow vehicle next to the trailer. This is a problem for most of the sites. Site #4 is pretty level. Some others have a little unevenness in side-to-side or front-to-back. With the exception of one site, most level issues should be correctable.

All camp sites are under the forest canopy, which is amazing for temperature and is all-around beautiful. It is a very pretty area.

The site was mostly level and required very little adjusting.

The sites are narrow and many are also very short. In #43, I had a hard time getting my 23' trailer and my truck inside the boundaries of the site. There was not room to open my canopy, but it was also so shaded that it wasn't needed.

There was no cellular connectivity on T-Mobile or AT&T, even with a booster.
