We booked 5 nights here to coincide with the annual PigFest BBQ competition/ festival which is held on the Expo grounds ( which btw was fun, great food and music!) We really enjoyed the stay, it’s a unique facility, spread out, with several camping areas. The staff was super friendly, as were several seasonal residents we met. The expo and associated aerospace museum are run by volunteers. Some stay on site while they work in the museum, parking attendants during events, etc. Camping fees go to keep the facility open. We had full hookups in a nice grassy field, very level. Sites are close but you have to remember this is more like festival camping. That said, I would definitely stay again even if not attending an event, if in this area. Note this is directly next to an airport (aerospace museum affiliated) - so there is plane noise but it is not a commercial airport at this time. It serves as an Amazon Prime Air hub, and smaller planes, private jets, etc. We actually enjoyed watching the planes takeoff and land as you can sit right by the fence of the runway. 3-4 Amazon planes took off each day almost exactly at 2:30pm and again at 8:30 pm, after which it was quiet for the night. Signage when pulling in could be better, since there are a few camping areas on the grounds. We called as entering to get clarification. Great Publix and other shopping, gas, etc. very close by. WIFI was free and some of the best we’ve seen.

As others have said, the amenities here are absolutely amazing. Pools, mini golf, bowling, water park (although was not open when we were there in December) bar, restaurant, etc. The staff in the office, store, maintenance team, and restaurant were all friendly and helpful. Laundry facilities and restrooms/ showers were sparkling clean. The entire grounds were very well kept. They offered shuttle service to nearby historic Conway SC, Calabash NC, and several shopping areas on various days. This was super helpful to us as we have a class C motorhome and do not pull a tow vehicle. We have EBikes and enjoyed riding them around the park daily, but the road outside the park was not conducive to us being able to ride them anywhere else (narrow shoulder, traffic, etc.). It was fairly quiet when we were here with empty spaces behind us. Our site was on an end which was great. The sites are no closer together than other RV parks and the way they have the landscaping with small trees and tall grass, it gives more of a sense of privacy than many parks.

Overall a quiet campground, nice being by river. Good fishing and we saw manatees, turtles, a gator, many large birds. Pool was nice and well kept.

Spots are quite close in most areas. We were on back row against the woods/swamp at F31. Our “front” was larger than many as the site was somewhat wedged shaped, narrow in front then widened. But back side neighbors uncomfortably close. Sites that are “water front” are not in a secure area as they are essentially on a strip between the entrance and exit road to the registration office, the marina, boat rentals, and restaurant/ bar. A lot of traffic in and out. The rest of the sites are at least accessed through a keycard gate.

Overall “ok” as close to Deland downtown and Daytona or if you have a boat. But overpriced for what is offered.

We RV full time and stayed here for 12 nights when we had to be in the area for some medical appointments. It’s essentially a 55+ community of park model MHs, with a few empty sites scattered throughout which are available for shorter term stays. It is very well kept, compared to others we’ve seen. There appeared to be lots of scheduled activities such as pot luck, bingo, taco night, etc. There was a strange “vibe” for lack of a better word, that maybe many residents weren’t too keen on “transient” guests such as ourselves. We did meet a couple of more friendly folks but hard to describe, we just didn’t feel welcome. The heated pool was great. Overall OK if need to be in area.

We stayed for a week in early November and found this to be a great COE campground. Sites are large and well spaced, some of the longest cement pads we’ve seen! We stayed in the Catoma loop (the other loop was closed but we rode our bikes over there to check it out). Catoma sites are definitely larger and also has full hookups. Bathrooms and laundry were dated, but okay and about what you would expect.

We stayed in site 13, which we lived as it was waterfront but mainly as very private as there is a small inlet and bridge so no other site on the front side. Sites 28/29 looked like great options for size and having riverfront. Roads getting to campground and in park itself were fine, definitely no issues for bigger rigs. T-Mobile and ATT were spotty.

We stayed here for a week and found it a lovely and unique mix of quaint, old school campground combined with a modern RV park.

The “lower” section is nearest to the river and mainly tent or smaller camper sites. The “upper” section is standard full hookup sites, mix of pull through and back in. We had a shade shelter (extra $) which was nice. The sites were laid out well, some larger than others but overall no different than most RV parks.

We do not have a pet but we saw they have a very large dog park including a small agility course.

The heated pool was amazing, and that area along with the hot tub and smaller unheated “conversation” pool definitely has more of a resort feel.

The Laundry area was fine, though busy and could probably be bigger for the size of the park.

The activities here arewhat sets it apart: Bingo, trivia, karaoke, show me the money, newlywed game, exercise classes, redneck bowling, kick ball pool and as others have noted the pigeon races and chicken poo bingo are a hoot! If you are lucky you might see Charlie Girl-the owners potbelly pig who often rooms freely!

The staff was friendly and helpful. When you arrive at this park you just go directly to your site and then go check in with the office after you hook up and settle in. That was a great feature though the signage or instructions were not exactly clear - luckily another camper saw us pull in and gave us some direction. Quite a few seasonal residents and all were warm and welcoming.

We have already booked another stay for a few weeks in the fall! Regarding the dust mentioned by another reviewer. Yes it is noticeable for those right against the dirt road. We were one row over and while we noticed with the windows open things got dusty it did not bother us on a day-to-day.

We stayed here when we had to be in the area and have had good luck in the past with Sun Outdoors RV parks. This one is definitely a work in progress. There are many long time residents, more towards the back of the property. In speaking to a resident Sun Outdoors took over a little over a year ago and is slowly transitioning the property.

The amenities are limited, but what is there is nice and well kept. Very nice (heated!) pool, clubhouse, modern laundry with machines that take credit/debit or pay with app on phone. Was very quiet and great sunsets!

First few rows/streets are level and on gravel (crushed shells). The pull through sites appear new, nicely paved but essentially carved into a hill side. While mostly flat, they are slightly sloped on either end so larger rigs may have an issue. We are 27 ft class C and were ok. Will post pictures to show what I mean.

It’s obvious that many older long term trailers have recently been pulled out with empty lots scattered throughout. In fact saw one go while we were there. Continued work will make this an improved park in the future. I do hope residents are not adversely impacted as most are seniors.

The location is a positive with it being only 20-25 min to Disney and groceries, restaurants, etc. within minutes or even walking distance. Cell service was excellent.

We stayed here for 7 nights the first week of March. Great park that was perfect for our bikes- trails and just biking around the park roads. Lake was so beautiful. Lots of birds, very peaceful but we also enjoyed the activity at the boat ramp.

We stayed in loop number one and all of the sites here have water views even if not directly on the water. They are a little close together but very beautiful so it’s still worth it. Loop two seems to be spaced with more privacy and larger sites though a bit further back from the water edge.

The host was very friendly, we talked to her a bit and she was helpful. Since we only had water and electric (no sewer) We opted to shower in the bath house. Very clean, well kept and the pressure and water temp were great.

Easy in and out, roads within the park or well-kept and paved. One of the best three lane modern dump stations that we’ve seen.

We stayed 5 nites here and found it very enjoyable. The sites are very well spaced, lots of grass and room in between. Most of the sites have gravel pad with also a small paved area. We were in site 2 which was not water front but had an amazing view of the lake (most do, waterfront or not). Staff was friendly, they have a great , well stocked camp store which serves creemes, there is a one mile hiking trail, and was fun to see the boats coming and going from boat launch. No WIFI but Cell service was perfect so we could use hit spot.

Great park and surrounding area! We stayed for 2 nights at site 62 along the canal. All sites are well spaced and have a great water view. We are class C towing a travel trailer, 44 feet all in and had no issue backing into the site.

Great place for our eBikes, we did the 8 mile round trip to the Buckman Lock. Also nice bike from the canal loop over to the other section by the boat ramp. The primitive / tent site area was beautiful and had great sites also.

There are signs for bears and gators though we did not see any. Lots of birds, fish jumping in the water. Staff was friendly and helpful. Cell service was not great 1-2 bars on AT&T .
