One of the most beautiful campgrounds we have ever seen; lush and green, super clean and nicely laid out. Lots of mosquitoes; so much so that our bug spray did not work well enough to allow us to stay outside after dusk. The beach was a bit too far away for us. Services in the the town of Westport about 20 minutes away. Zero cell phone service.
Sites are nicely spaced out, spacious and clean. Lots of grass areas for common use and a hiking path around the lake. Mostly level; great for bike riding. Services 4-5 miles in the charming Western town of Winthrop. Poor to no cell phone reception.
The location of this city park campground is close to access all the area has to offer. Sites were all in a loop design and a bit short. Lots of grass and common area. Bathrooms were sparkling clean. A bit pricey.
