The road in (September 2023) has many large ruts, but was manageable. we found a spot on a small bluff overlooking the lake and although we could see other campers, none were close by nor could we hear any noise. Sunset was beautiful. There is some trash around on the ground. If you like boondocking, this is a good one.

We stayed here two nights in mid September, visiting Black Canyon of the Gunnison (about and hour away). The campground is very large, but sites were not too close and our site was 'fairly' level. Bathrooms and showers were good. Our site had a fire ring, and a separate raised BBQ grill. The laundromat was clean.

This is a city park, there are water and electric, site was fairly level. Minimal road noise. Main drawback is no restroom or shower - but that is expected with such a minimal fee. Fee was $12 plus a $3 reservation fee online. Good hiking trails in the park.

Stayed here on our way to the Badlands. Very nice owners- they have a farm next door and this is a side business. Sites are pull thru and level, little shade. Close to I-80 so there is some noise, but it is a convenient stop in southern Nebraska. Bathrooms/showers functional and clean.

We stayed at Bisti on our way to Mesa Verde. Free, parking lot is level, the road in is gravel, not too bad- able to drive 20mph in 24 foot RV. Very hot in July, some people began hiking the badlands at 7pm, returning to parking lot at sunset-- we had marvelous sunset to enjoy. We hiked the badlands 8-10am and it was getting pretty warm when we were done. Great hiking out among the hoodoos and other rock formations. Vault toilet was clean.

We stayed here July 17 and 18th. Road is now paved, we have 24 ft RV and had no problem with the access road or campground roads. Views from campground are spectacular, we were treated to an amazing sunset with deep reds in the clouds. Easy access to Great Sand Dunes National Park. Vault toilets were clean and park host was friendly. The day use area gets very crowded with hikers to the Zapata Falls. The RV campsites seem to be spread out from one another- we had great privacy and quiet.

This is on a reservoir and has no frills. Two older (but not smelly) pit toilets. There are covered picnic tables. The self check in is easy and we were the only people in the park. We parked down near the water and saw a lot of waterfowl, stars at night were great as well.

We stayed here in early July, staff did a great job at check-in. The site was fairly level, and we had water/electric hookup. Fair distance between sites as well, though our area had no foilage for privacy (many do). Showers up near camp store (too far to hike to) were clean and had good hot water. Our biggest disappointment was the bathrooms at the campsites, while having flush toilets and sinks, had no soap, hand sanitizer, nor any way to dry your hands. For all the concern about spreading germs (Visitor Center closed, etc) we were surprised to have no soap to wash your hands after using the toilet. One other thing; the campground is run by a vendor (Aramark) and you cannot apply a Park Pass discount when you make reservations via the internet. We found out (we modified our campsite at check-in) that the Senior Park Pass could be applied if you made reservations via phone, or in person.

We stayed during September, very hot weather. Site was level and easy to back into. The best part of our stay was the amazing night sky- the Milky Way was very prominent.
