Great little spot to overnight before heading into Duluth and after exploring Lake Superior's North Shore. We were the only ones in a parking lot with six or so spots large enough to house RVs and with quite a few car spaces. Bathrooms on site, a river walk behind the park area, and covered picnic area.

On the site of a fair grounds with electrical hookups and parking on grass. Geese on property leave their droppings around, so check your shoes. I called the number listed on Campendium and was told on the recording to dial another number, which I did, and it was answered. Easy way to get a spot.

We saw a billboard for Pioneer Village on I-80 west of Kearney and got curious. Turns out, in addition to one of the largest and most comprehensive museums of American history we have visited, the Village boasts a lush green campground with mature trees. The park does have clean restrooms and showers but no laundry facility - yet. With our camp reservation, we received one adult admission to the museums at the Village, which we highly recommend seeing. We called at 8 p.m. to see if spots were available and got a recording, which, smartly, gave us the number for the camp host. We called, and Mary gave us the okay to come pick a spot. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

A parking lot up a road overlooking the city of Silver Bay with, just down the hill, a free dump station and fresh water available (donations accepted). We were the only ones there and felt safe and secure. Walk up the road farther to see and learn about the taconite processing plant that fronts Lake Superior.
