Nice resort. Excellent staff. We were only passing through on a road trip but scheduled two nights at Fourwinds. Unfortunately it was pretty hot and we decided to leave after only one night. Rooms were decent - kind of small but not cramped. Each room on one side had a nice patio/balcony area for morning coffee or just to view the lake, definitely better than looking at the parking lot. Resort was well-kept, outside as well. Nice beach area for catching some rays or swimming. People here were very friendly. Morning we were leaving a storm came through and dropped a tree on the only road in/out of the place so we were delayed for 2 hours. No fault of the property. They were okay with us hanging around until the road was opened. Oh, grill restaurant was okay, limited menu and really not the best food but good. Breakfast was in a different restaurant on site and was not good. Best to find somewhere else for breakfast or bring your own. All in all I would stay here again but be a bit more prepared food wise.

Nice hotel situated close to the highway and plenty of restaurants with a 1/2 square mile. Room was clean, bed was very comfortable and hotel was quiet. It was a perfect 1st night stop on our road trip. Unfortunately due to some construction within the hotel there was no breakfast available in the morning although you can purchase a few things like muffins. We would stay here again.

Hotel was nice but that’s about where it ends. Restaurant is awful. Got the breakfast buffet for 13.99 each and it was no more than a very limited continental breakfast. Only hot food was scrambled eggs, sausage and limp greasy bacon. No pancakes or waffles. Service was slow, didn’t get drinks until we were halfway done. Casino was extremely tight, everyone we talked to said the same. Spent about $1600 and we were never up. Decided to go to Falls View across the river which was way better. Oh also our room wasn’t ready at checkin until about 5pm. Got to the “non-smoking” room and it wreaked of cigarettes. So we had to call for a different room which they did move us. Positives…clean room, very nice bellman named Jim, valet and desk people were nice. Casino folks a little snarky. We plan on coming back sometime but will probably look for other options.

Fantastic experience! Definition of exhilarating! Pictures and videos cannot capture the immense water flowing over the falls, creating a sheer wind that pelts you with the cool mist. Maid in the Mist takes you as close as they can to the American and Horseshoe falls without putting you in danger. Just awesome, everyone on the boat felt the same. A “must do” when you come to Niagara. Don’t bother with the many “tours” offered online that are $100 or more, Maid in the Mist is like $25.50 from them , easy to find as well as easy to get to. We might just do it again before we leave!

Stopped on the way to Niagara. Nice little place not far off the highway, Google maps took us to the wrong location but found it by asking locals the direction. Wife had a taco salad and enjoyed it, said it would have been better if the beef was warmer. I tried the mushroom and swiss burger w/fries. Burger was just ok, I’ve had better. Good bun. Fries were under-cooked, not crispy at all. So food was just ok, not bad but nothing special. Now the difference here are the desserts. Banana cream pie was awesome! We also took a couple pastries/desserts with us. They have over-sized pastries which are fantastic. So best reasons to stop are the very friendly staff and great desserts. Oh and prices are reasonable.
