No fees are charged to enter this National park but a $14 / night in cash is charged to camp. Really nice campground with lots of cottonwood trees. We pulled a 25’ airstream and backed in to # 55 without any problem. Had to do minor leveling. Sites range from full shade to full sun. No reservation system, but continual turn over of visitors allowed your choice of site. Only loop 1 bathroom was open when we were there; although water spigots are available throughout. We love the canyon, especially the Antelope stop at sunset & our hike down the canyon to the White House ruin. Be sure to wade the stream to see if up close. We would come back again here; next time hire a guide and perhaps overnight in the canyon. Vendors are at most stops selling their wares with no high pressure. Some goods are better quality than others. We bought a few things mostly from those who told us their story.

Wish we could stay longer but another time. One night only on our way to Tucson from Ely, NV. With our national parks pass we can access area free. There’s dump station and potable water filling. Very nice landscape campground with trails and lake views. Reserved our campsite on recreation.gov for $20/night. No hookup, flush toilet and sink. Water spigots at campground. We were in loop D site 72. Easy to back in with our 25’ airstream. Sites 74 and 76 are also good. Sites 75-71 are on outer ring of loop, nearest to lake but also closer to the campground road. I’d go for 75, 77 or 79.

Stayed in the dry camping area. We were concerned with the site pad length, whether we would fit. Called to confirm. We were in 56, across from the bath/shower house. Our 25’ airstream and F150 (15’) fit side by side just fine with 3’ to spare before hitting the curb. Nice picnic table under a trellis, fire pit, bbq. Clean restrooms. There are showers that take tokens, but we didn’t use them. Lots of water spigots. There is a dump station & drinking water. Cannot access your site before 2:00 pm, even if empty. super strict about that. We enjoyed hiking the Palm Canyon trail and walking around the campground during full moon. Do visit & support the Borrego Art Institute; interesting exhibitions and reasonable prices. We hit the farmers market when we were leaving on Friday morning. Bought nylon scrubbies, pastry, baguette, vegetables, fruit, tamales & salsa. It’s every Friday in town at the Christmas circle from 8-12.
